The essay questions that seem to get asked in year 11 are not "curveball" style, mainly because every school does different texts and AOS and there aren't many resources on the internet for preliminary texts

Google "EAS" (educational access scheme) Although if you did have those sort of issues, you'd have to show them how it affected your HSC and whether or not it was preventable You would need important documentation as well for proof

You can only pick up senior science in year 12 if you did a preliminary science of some sort in year 11

It would really depend on what subject it is and the scaling of it A band 5 for chem is still possible imo, as long as your cohort perform well in the HSC external and you get a high B6 mark in the HSC external Hope that helps

Tbh a lot is dependent on how your cohort does in the externals and how you perform in the HSC externals If you somehow magically get 95 for the HSC external (which would be a miracle) it would boost your overall mark heaps (as long as a bulk of your cohort got band 5's)

I think it's best to use your own experiences as a starting point for your story as opposed to a used idea

Sorry my bad Im sure those tutoring places have "trials" so best to do them since you have nothing to lose however you should be aware that some expensive tutoring places may not be worth it

He was probably lucky then or else the HSC could've screwed him over coz I heard the HSC is leaning to less rote memorisation of essays and they're starting to catch out students who haven't read their texts (I think the latter would be quite hard)

tbh I feel that adaptation can only happen if like u have more than 2 "broad" essays all of which cover the whole rubric/syllabus and you continuously adapt to various questions on a regular basis (including "curveballs")

Unless it's a broad question and it's "adaptable" then you can do it However it is recommended you avoid it because there is a risk of them asking something not in the memorised essays You should be brushing up om quotes and analysis and applying it to many different types of essay questions...

To be honest I don't think anyone's going to care if you got suspended/expelled in year 12 (especially employers) Considering the fact that your HSC is quite meaningless after HSC
