    ATAR estimate pls

also, i should add that its not the end of the world if you miss out on 98+, if you maintain a CSAM (cross-semester average mark) of above 75 (distinction avg, not too hard to get if you keep up with the course content), you can apply to be a dalyell scholar and have all the benefits of it...

    ATAR estimate pls

dalyell isn't really a scholarship perse, i'm pretty sure you pay the same fees as everyone else (unless u have another scholarship), its more of a separate stream of elective units that allows you to do extra (more advanced / job focused) subjects, which can be related to ur original degree if...

    ATAR estimate pls

a lot of ppl will tell u the same thing, theres a funny copypasta in the usyd discord, but its kinda valid; its useless if u dont put effort into it (like 90% of the people that do it, inc me), but if you rlly are invested then it will be quite beneficial, especially the individual research...

    ATAR estimate pls

most pointless achievement of my life ngl

    ATAR estimate pls

if you're at the top of your school for most subjects, the school ranking matters very little - for the subjects that you're rank 1 in, you'll get your own hsc mark, so just do the best you can! If you can get a 90+ raw on all the papers then (despite the other responses on this thread) then a...

    atar estimate

Would be guessing somewhere from 85-90 if you keep about those raw marks. Follow jimmy's advice if you want a more accurate prediction tho haha

    Studying

oh, that's my bad for not being clearer - I never took notes for maths, (X1 or X2) I meant I would do some of this 'fun' study before going into the notes for chem/phys or english. I don't think notes are really necessary for maths at all, except maybe if someone's really struggling with a...

    Studying

100% this, every time I wanted to do some boring/grindy notes study, I would always start out by doing like 30 minutes of 4u maths integration, because for me its 'satisfying' study, if that makes sense, and getting out of the house helps massively.

    Studying

https://boredofstudies.org/threads/atar-results-reveal-thread.402099/post-7446263 wrote that up a few days ago, might be useful - but basically romanticise studying (make it a fun outing or something) is the tldr if you can't be bothered to read that monstrosity

    ATAR results/reveal thread

(edit) 'run down' ..... oops sure - my biggest recommendation is writing your own detailed NOTES based on a diverse amount of resources. use all the textbooks/youtube videos/free tutoring websites/stack exchange answers you can find to write very extensively, but in a structured manner (usually...

    ATAR results/reveal thread

i'm late, but 99.95, am ecstatic :)))) if any 2023' need motivation, i procrastinated a massive amount and took many many full day breaks - prioritise resting, relaxing, and taking lots of time for yourself. I definitely didn't study during the summer holidays before our hsc year if that's...

HSC Maths Exam Gets an F for Failing Our Students

I don't 'feel intimidated' by your view, I do pretty well academically and am very invested in STEM fields, where I am intending to take my life to. As I noted, you're allowed to have your own view. And, as I said, I am the chem/phys/4u type, and am not particularly interested in pursuing...

HSC Maths Exam Gets an F for Failing Our Students

I was going to read through this whole discussion without replying to anyone, because I find the topic quite interesting. This, however, I can't ignore. You simply cannot say that emotions are not important for everyone. Emotions are innately what we are, they define how we feel, how we...

    Chemistry predictions

It feels like that when we're in the exam conditions, I think it was pretty comparable, maybe a bit harder for the 8 marker, to 2021
