    Complex number locus questions

Oh right because anticlockwise is in the positive direction

    Ext2 topics help with ext1?

Every topic helped. The one that helped the least was probably complex numbers though.

    Complex Numbers Questions

Oops. You're right and it does affect the proof. Mine only works when it's actually "z^2 - a^2" but having "a^2" proved the result so I think it might be a typo.

    Complex Numbers Questions

    arg(z^2 - a) = arg((z-a)(z+a)) = arg(z-a) + arg(z+a) = arg(z-a) - arg(z+a) + 2arg(z+a) ($I thought of doing this because it's easier to work with vectors if there's a negative sign$) $ Note that $ arg(z) = 2arg(z+a) $ by constructing vectors z-a and z and using the circle geometry...

    Complex number locus questions

arg(z-a)-arg(z-b)=θ, $ Pick an arbitrary point on the Argand Diagram and label this as vector z $ $ Assuming a,b are real, mark these points on the x-axis $ $ z-a means the vector starts from a to z and similarly for z-b $ $ arg(z-a)-arg(z-b) $ = \theta $notice the negative sign for...

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive Le Chatelier's Principle (LCP) states that a disturbance experienced by an equilibrium will cause the equilibrium to shift, in order to minimise the disturbance. In step 1, the mole ratio of gases of reactants to products is 9:10 and thus, to maximise the...

Re: HSC 2016 2U Marathon I think notes would still be useful for revision. Obviously 100% reliance on them wouldn't be efficient but it's not counter-productive (if that's what you're suggesting).

HSC 2016 MX2 Marathon ADVANCED (archive)

    Re: HSC 2016 4U Marathon - Advanced Level a^3 + 4a^2 b = 4a^2 + b^4 a^2 + 4ab = 4a + \frac{b^{4}}{a} ($dividing by a since a $ \neq 0 ) a^2 + 4ab + 4b^2 = 4a + \frac{b^{4}}{a} + 4b^2 (a+2b)^2 = \frac{4a^2 + b^4 + 4ab^2 }{a} (a+2b)^2 = \frac{(b^2 + 2a)^2 }{a} a = \frac{(b^2 +...

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

It was alright exam. Harder than I expected but it was good as it didn't focus too much on on area
