    math in uni

Unless it's higher level maths (like 3rd year) you can get away with handwriting your assignments. LaTeX just has a cleaner format which is why it's a preferred format.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all! :rudolf: I can't give gifts to you (that kind of tech hasn't been invented yet) but take this offering: 🍪

HELP enrolling into units USYD COM/LAW

I can't give answers specific to comm/law since I do education, but to answer your questions: 1. 24 is standard amount, around 4 ×6cp units. This would mean you graduate within the set time frame of the degree. Dropping down units would mean it goes for longer. 2. I can't say specifically for...

    ATAR results/reveal thread

Well done to you all! It's really good to see you guys doing well after the past 2 years, and to have a (somewhat) normal year as well :) Best wishes for uni

    Inv Trig

Actually that guide is a bit outdated. I'm currently learning how to do LaTeX, so I'd recommend their website: https://www.overleaf.com/learn/latex/Learn_LaTeX_in_30_minutes#Finding_and_using_LaTeX_packages

    Eng Adv_1984_Related text

I haven't read 1984 or the text I'm going to suggest in great depth, but perhaps Fahrenheit 451? It's also a dystopian book in which the protagonist struggles against a controlling government.

Why are Sydney Grammar past papers so bunched up?

That and also iirc they use LaTeX so the formatting is probably too finnicky to put in spaces. Its like Normanhurst (again iirc).

    BoS meet up

I think getting a google form with an EOI which can include preferred times and days and activities would be good

Attempting to make $10K monthly from scratch.

can you redraw this with yourself and Hiva instead of the two characters?

Attempting to make $10K monthly from scratch.

Aigh webtoons :) On a side note, if you did well in a subject you could get a job doing tutoring. Either a company (like Matrix) or private (esp good since it's more flexible hours). Or get a Christmas Casual job. Very popular this timr of year, and if you're good they could potentially expand...

    BoS meet up

Or have a hybrid meet-up, with some people online (via Zoom through a private link) and some in person. I really want to see you all :wavey:

What is the point of a textbook deposit?

Fx82au Use alpha followed by + to get Pol( You can then enter the coordinates

What is the point of a textbook deposit?

I mean it can convert polar coordinates into r and theta

Suggested related materials for english standard student

Are you allowed multimedia (e.g. movies, cartoons, etc)? Or is it exclusively texts? If you are allowed multimedia, I'd recommend the cartoon "Gardens of the Human Condition". If not, then perhaps the poem "The Barn Owl". From what I've seen, the longing for connection and the father-son are a...

    Detentions

Honestly, I have no idea. I suspect it may be a secondary factor, since some may change after a suspension, especially if the suspension was in primary school. On the other hand one would have to consider that frequent suspensions or serious suspensions such as for drugs/violence could be an...

    Detentions

Suspensions and expulsions would be, but not detentions.

What is the point of a textbook deposit?

Out of curiosity are these physical or digital? Or access to both? And at the end of year 12 (if digital) how do you surrender access to it? Genuinely curious as someone who paid and used hardcopy textbooks for my subjects (I went to a smallish private school)

    Series

Nope the original is correct. If we subbed in n=1 into the two equations youll see that the original gives us 1 whereas the the t^(n+1) equation would give us (t^1)+1

Straight up, what happens if I just don't complete work in year 10

It's not so much that your RoSA is affected, moreso that they can hold you back for not completing year 10 (through the N award which means you did not complete the requirements to pass the subject and thereby the grade). It may depend from school to school though. Check with your teachers.

Going to group tutoring by yourself or with others?

One on one tutoring is designed so that individual needs can be addressed in a way that school classes/group tuition may miss. Its also a bit more centric than group tuition since you'd be able to do it based on the topics/assessments that you have, whereas group classes at places such as Matrix...
