Definitely possible. A HSC chemistry exam was resat at my school for different reasons (a past paper with the same prac was given out by a tutoring center so half the grade had already seen it), but it's definitely worth a shot since we were able to do another prac.

Nah you only repeat if you get an N award and failing one exam is fine as long. To get an N award it means you didn't satisfactorily complete y11 so not even just failing but like a non attempt. So unless you skipped an exam you're good.

I would say go for Matrix, even though it's pricier, the resources are honestly amazing. They are very in-depth, cover all the syllabus points well with a good balance of theory and practical questions (and answers).
