Physics Tutoring for HSC 2015 -- NEED BAND 6 STUDENTS!!! PROVEN RESULTS!!!

Can also confirm: best physics teacher ever! Used to go PEAK... FC > PEAK in every way possible + more! (no regrets making the switch) You won't find a tutor more dedicated and caring than FC, would highly recommend 10/10.

Year 10 Science Research Project Ideas?

I did the easiest thing ever: time the time it takes to melt an ice cube in different household liquids, e.g. vinegar, milk, etc.

    Unsw timetable

Persistance is key! Always check http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/subjectSearch.html every day (refreshes every 24 hours). Sometimes UNSW opens new time slots OR increase the size of a class OR people will move. Best of luck :)

    B civil engineering( honours) / B laws

Had a friend who did mechanical engo/law at usyd - dropped law a week later (but that's because he wasn't interested in it in the beginning i.e. prestige). He said there's very open class discussions and debates so if you're passionate in law, your communication skills should increase over time...

Should I do a dual degree or not! (Electrical / Computer Science)

Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science is better imo. Computer engineering is very similar to computer science but less flexible (in terms of subjects to take) I heard. I reckon more job opportunities for EE/CS combo.

UNSW first year Medical Science Texbooks!

When my friend did med sci, all she used was the lecture notes. You don't need textbooks at all. Only for additional reading.

Is engg1000 necessary for a petroleum student 1st year?

Compulsory but you can do it anytime. I had a group member who was in 4th year in 2nd semester take ENGG1000 so it's up to you. But highly recommend you do it first year, first semester. If not, just avoid it in 2nd semester of any year.

Actually it's the Never Alone Society haha.

How easy is it to achieve an average 75 WAM?

Most of my friends achieved 75+ wam in first year engineering. It's not difficult, you just need to study smart. I.e. if you don't learn anything in lectures then just learn it by yourself. As for your subjects, just do the work every week, don't fall behind and you'll be fine. And if you were...

Latest Date To Get ID Card?

Yep you won't need it until class tests a few weeks later. (Just remember to keep your secondary student concession card on so you don't need to pay full price for transport until you get your ID card)

    Travel Concession for this year?

Just get your concession when uni resumes since the 2014 concession sticker expires on 31/03/2015.

Actuarial at Macquarie to UNSW Commerce Mid Year

Yeah they have midyear but also depends on how many vacancies. Remember bonus points don't count- not that you need them anyway. Also prepare for the fact not all your units could count (depends on how different the structure of the courses are).

Are there jobs in the biomedical engineering industry?

Australia doesn't really have a biomed industry so if you really wanted to work in biomed, you might end up having to look for opportunities overseas. Imo do biomed if you're really interested in it and are not sure software is the way to go. If you really like software, it'll be better to do...

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

I heard there are jobs but your actual job would not be a "chemical engineer".

    BABS1201 Lecture Importance?

If your lecturer draws/writes things on the board and doesn't include this in the lecture notes later on or something like that, best to find a friend who you can get them off. Otherwise, not worth going.

    Cven1300 help!!!??

Following the plan http://www.engineering.unsw.edu.au/civil-engineering/resources/bachelor-of-civil-engineeringbachelor-of-environmental-engineering-3631-commencing-2015 would make your life easier. I'm pretty sure CHEM1101/CHEM1031 is a CORE for environmental so you have to do that anyway...

    Troung" s HSC Maths results

Love Truongs. Imo I think its more suited to people who are already talented at maths and want to be challenged, learn new/better techniques etc. They never publish results - only for class tests, but never HSC (or at least, not anymore).
