Go for uni students dude. The people who know how to score band 6/state rank are the band 6/state rankers people themselves - not the english teachers (who probably got through high school with at low-mid 90 atar and low band 6 in english if you're lucky)

Pretty sure you can state rank even if you're not 1st. I think someone on this forum state ranked despite internally ranking 8th or something? (this was quite a few years back though)

Also, half the spots are post-grad. The other half undergrad - most of which uses UMAT. The % is low because there's thousands of applicants but there is a very limited number of positions. UNSW for example only take 150 standards applicants every year. My uni only takes 60

Copying someone else's exam is bound to fail - not just because the question order etc might be different, but most people doing the paper do not do well enough to get into medicine anyway. You need to get at least like 85%ile to get an interview at most places and to be honest unless you score...

Typing your notes is way more efficient simply because you type much faster than you handwrite (and you can study for longer since you don't get tired after writing a page). You can use the time saved from typing to create a second set of notes based off your original notes (if you choose)...

Well I graduated as the top student from a 300 ranked school myself. lol Although, probably wouldn't bank on getting top 10 in med sci - it's too competitive and unpredictable (also you still need to pass UMAT/interview iirc)

Don't stress about your extracurriculars. Focus on your grades first and foremost. I didn't volunteer at anywhere health related and I still did fine. Nice things like these are really the cherry on top :)

I agree with 5-8, depending on the essay! Essays like what are the causes and effects of ______ would probably need more paragraphs since you sort of want 1 cause 1 paragraph (and do the full PEEL analysis on it - Point Explain Evidence Link). On the other hand, essays like the case study...
