Okay I can confirm that people got no carry on error marks in the midsem exam. That's personally pretty harsh imo.

Did they also ask you to do a sample demonstration for PASS leader application? Think they might have something like that.

I played Russian Rag for Australian Music for Music 2. Easier to learn for technical side but requires a lot of effort to be expressive for that piece. There aren't too many good recordings out there either, so maybe get a teacher or tutor to help you out. Or buy CD recordings.

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016 Okay so for chem it's a bit different here. You needed to have got a mark of 35% in the final exam in order to pass the course. As for the mark in your transcript, it's the sum of your pre-final mark + your supplementary exam mark (or your final mark, whatever...

You can just ask someone else to send their stuff for that subject for you, which saves you all the time and hassle anyway, so no point.

Shows that you're willing to improve so ask for help and feedback in order to give them the idea that you tried even if you did badly.

My guess is that the cutoff this year may lie around 65-70, considering it's harder than in the last few years, but not ridiculously insane compared to say, 2008.

Yeah, this was quite difficult imo, compared to previous years. Not too insane but doable overall I'd say. The derangements question though. Perhaps looks like examiners have been getting ideas from BoS trials. :P
