The people in my school find physics perpetually harder compared to the history/humanities subjects. If you're doing better in science right now pick physics or if you think you can dominate the essay-based subjects go for modern history.

Our school's policy is if you get 3 N-determination awards in ONE particular subject, you're unable to do the subject and as a result, ineligible to receive a HSC.

Software becomes heaps easy if you have a passion for algorithms/pseudocode or learning about it. There aren't essays in software, it's more so problem solving. It doesn't feel like a memorisation-based subject if you enjoy it.

Oh point of note, don't mention any character in your topic sentence. It has to be conceptual.

If the teacher said you need to show a deeper understanding of the text, that isn't useful feedback. Normally teachers will write little comments and draw lines to certain parts of the paragraph that need to be omitted or changed. Do you use connectors like "additionally" and "on the contrary"...

Depends on: - On how well the people whose ranks are near you perform in the HSC. - How well you do in the HSC. You should try your best to increase your ranks a bit more (in any coming trials) to maximise your potential ATAR. What exactly is your ATAR goal?

Nope, what school do you go to? There is a certain list of schools eligible that USyd allows for this. Have you had a look at that?

If you haven't gotten any 'N determination' awards for any courses, then you should be fine. If many students are in the same boat as you, they won't do anything as they most likely won't force a bunch of people to repeat.
