Re: Why do UTS call their degree Computing Science? and difference between CS Program I'm not sure on the differences between UTS' computing science and UNSW's computer science. USyd used to have a Computer Science course but they scrapped it and now direct interested people into doing B Adv...

    What to Drop !?

I did biology and from what I've heard economics is somewhat content-intensive like Biology, although biology being the easier one. If you can handle economics then biology should be fine. can't speak much for modern or legal but if you feel your rank is good then do them.

What do the numbers mean o.O (and atar estimate plz)

It's hard to give you specifics, because we don't know how hard your test papers are and how well your cohort will fare in the HSC, but I can certainly tell you that you'll get >86 maybe in the 90s, based on seeing kids in my school doing lower scaling subjects than you and still pulling off...

    Hey trials got me bad

Yes, good externals would greatly benefit you if you feel your internal for math wasn't good, but you're subject to how well your cohort does too. Basically the higher your rank, the less affected you will be if your cohort does bad. Having a low rank isn't bad if your school is known for doing...

    Hey trials got me bad

My school was one of the schools where because the teacher set VERY hard trials, the students who ended up getting 40s-50s in math ended up getting at least b5s. Our teachers also said not to fixate on the mark, but on the rank you have. Just do a HSC paper in exam conditions, time yourself and...

UTS Eng + Diploma Prof. Prac (drop the diploma?)

I think the diploma in professional practice is stupid.. You gotta find your own internship, it's the equivalent of just doing four years and finding an internship yourself. I wanna spend less years at uni, is there a way I can drop the diploma and just do the regular 4 years?

    Boredofstudies Adspam

Re: Boredofstudies Ads Thanks, i love reporting those spammy posts, but it is a bit annoying waiting 60 seconds to report another post. Esp if there are like 10 spam posts, perhaps that timer can be reduced?

    Official Cryptocurrency Thread

    - They're all paper gains until you sell it for $ in your bank acc. - There are many apps like blockify to monitor gains and losses across various alts. I don't recommend blockify tho (price updates are slow).

    Official Cryptocurrency Thread

Alright, alright.. It's in the testing phase. - Keep in mind, a year ago when it was dirt cheap ($0.005 USD), nobody could foresee it reaching this high, people kept bringing up the 'market cap' argument. Events: If banks begin to use this for inter-banking transfers (the numbers are...

I buy ETH from Coinbase --> Binance --> Ripple. Really quick process (and eth fees are unnoticeable). Also, coinspot stopped taking deposits from australians :// Also the coinbase verif takes like 3-5 mins.

    Official Cryptocurrency Thread

Was a few years too late for BTC, but I got in on ripple at 75c and a particular mod here got in at 25c It's now $2.27241 (ATH @ USD $2.80) analysts say it will grow to $18-20 (end of 2018), bear in mind those are conservative figures since it already beat this year's projections by leaps and...

    $40/hr Tutoring (99.75) - Maths (All levels)

Re: $30/hr Tutoring - Biology, 2U, 3U and 4U Maths I wish Anthony finished a year before me because I would have taken this opportunity in a heartbeat! Throughout the year, I struggled with many concepts and I'd resort to messaging Anthony, he'd respond almost instantly; at times I'd message...

Standard Paper 2 [Modules] - Thoughts

Wilfred Owen mod B had the words "sensory images" and "unsettling". Does that mean we couldn't talk about form/structure and solely needed to focus on sensory images created? Not sure what you mean by this, but we didn't need to write a speech or letter.
