mirin t hat CVEN mark. Congrats ! :) Most people find it alrite and interesting. I found it hard. Content isn't difficult, just the way its taught/presented can sometimes be pretty confusing.

Sem 1: ACTL1101 Ease: 6/10. A lot of introductory stuff that you need to wrap your head around, and concepts that at first seem extremely difficult but looking back, you're surprised at how simple they were lol. But by no means did I find this course easy when I was doing it. Content: 8/10...

dude holy shit. I'm going to fail no joke. I do not understand the last topic at all and it seems to make up a majority of the final exam :( Help me pls :( At this point in time, I'm finding it harder to understand than economics, actuarial and higher maths lol.....

MATH1251 was much more difficult than past papers. That modelling question.. wtf. ECON1102 was surprisingly ok. Nothing difficult in it :) ACTL1122 was out of trend with the previous style of exams. Usually it's filled with questions that make you freak out, but this time, I think I passed haha...

Re: A First Year's Guide to University Not exactly. I've heard that in maths at UNSW (maybe it's the same for others too?), even if you skip all the tutorials, so long as you do well in the final exam, you won't be penalised.

Yeah I felt inclined towards the engineering/science field (and sometimes I do think of those "what if I chose..." scenarios) at first, but I also wanted to understand economics, finance and most of all, analysing/measuring/quantifying risk and this is really what drove my decision. Even now...
