    MATH1081 Discrete Maths

Re: Discrete Maths Sem 2 2016 Okay figured it out: - First we check if the graph exists by checking if all the degrees of each vertex sum to an even number. - We then follow RealiseNothing's approach. - We take note that if the vertex with highest degree is equal to or greater than the...

    MATH1081 Discrete Maths

Re: Discrete Maths Sem 2 2016 My tutor said something along the lines of : No simple graph if biggest vertex degree >= # vertices or or something like that. Not too sure havn't tried it out yet.

    maths 1B last minute questions

Okay it appears I may have read the question wrong : $ Let $ p_n $ for $ n \geq 2 $ denote the number of integers less than or equal to n that are prime. Do either of the series $ \sum_{n=3}^{\infty}{\frac{1}{p_n}} $ and $ \sum_{n=3}^{\infty}{(-1)^n\frac{1}{p_n}} $ converge? $

    maths 1B last minute questions

Thanks guys just a question from the exam: $ Suppose $ p_n $ denotes the nth prime number. $ $ Do either of the series $ \sum_{n=3}^{\infty}{\frac{1}{p_n}} $ and $ \sum_{n=3}^{\infty}{(-1)^n\frac{1}{p_n}} I said the first one diverges by comparison test and by Leibniz test the second one...
