Maths Ext 2 (and Ext 1) 2022 trial papers

Ace hsc poached a good quantity of their trials from a copy of a copy of thsconline a few years ago, when they revamped their website, less so nowadays, it all gets circulated around eventually.

Maths Ext 2 (and Ext 1) 2022 trial papers

You heard slightly incorrectly, there is just a bit of backlog and not as much time to process it all, if I get 2022 stuff I generally put that up quickly :)

if someone could explain how to use the coverup rule for 4u partial frac would be appreciated

Agreed but mainly for linear factors to avoid likelihood of error. But you are probably a pro at it so disregard haha. Otherwise multiplying through does the same trick and only is an extra line of working.

if someone could explain how to use the coverup rule for 4u partial frac would be appreciated

The cover up method effectively you are treating x as a parameter to find A and B. \frac{1}{(x+3)(2x+1)} = \frac{A}{(x+3)} + \frac{B}{(2x+1)} Basically if you times both sides by the denominator you get: 1 =A(2x+1) + B(x+3) So you can pick such an x so that 2x+1 = 0 (x=1/2), and another x such...

    Q12 b) Abbotsleigh 2U Trial Paper 2021

This is why you don't use acehsc as sometimes they forget to put the solutions up. I also will put 2020 paper up if I can find where it is. Solutions here: https://thsconline.github.io/s/v/5328/Abbotsleigh%202021%20w.%20sol

help on what subject to drop

Good idea to wait until AT3 if you bomb either. Honestly I would drop Physics if you aren't expecting you or your cohort to do well in HSC. Raw assessment marks do have an impact on more than just rank. The relative distances between marks do matter, as obviously the closer spaced a cohort is...

Drive with all HSC and Trial questions separated

Yeah nah if I had the time I would've. There is a collection called MBank full of HSC papers by topic but its all old syllabus topics.

    Difference

Bernoulli is a specific case of binomial distribution. Bernoulli would be saying flipping an individual coin and the probability it is a particular outcome say heads. Binomial would be flipping multiple coins and choosing one of them and the probability of it being a heads. Basically true/false...

Is reverse chain rule just integral of product of function and it's derivative?

Reverse chain rule would be basically a quick hand way of doing integration by substitution, by inspection. Generally its most useful for when you observe a composite function that you know get by differentiating using the chain rule. For the same reason differentiation by substitution is...

    Ipad or paper notes

Depends on subjects, subjects that require precise handwritten diagrams are better handwritten. Subjects where there is a lot of note taking e.g. humanities then typing is better. I personally handwrote Maths notes and typed every other subject. I occasionally would use handwritten notes for...

    THSC Down??

hi all, thsc back up except for the Download File link that has been deliberately taken down while I look at options to how the back end is coded. I may even look to moving it to a cloud hosted server.

    feedback for thsconline

The other THSC is separate (similar only in name and that they got permission to clone the entire copy of resources). That is also by design, I'm looking into improving that at the moment but its mainly was so that it would be a lot easier to manage and add new resources.

    feedback for thsconline

I don't get what you mean, if you click on it it opens in a new tab that is by design. Because its not linking to the files directly it has to dynamically generate the link.

    feedback for thsconline

That depends on the school, its a good idea but requires a bit of time, so may have to be user submission based.

    feedback for thsconline

oh the site will be back soon. its never truly offline

    feedback for thsconline

Hi guys Going to set some time aside to do an update to the 'OG' 'thsc' soon, please post your feedback or suggestions. Please note as it is a static website, so to keep it free, running it on free hosting and stuff, it cannot do too much fancy stuff like with PHP, AJAX or anything like that...
