Oh wow, the vote is a three way tie

    99.95

School rank can most certainly hinder your atar. Say you were ranked 20th for a subject, and you absolutely gun your exam and get 98 for your exam mark, if the 20th highest mark in your school was only 88, your Assessment mark is 88, your HSC mark is 93, and thus hinders your atar. Its also...

    99.95

Not many people get 99/100 raw, except maybe 2 and 3u maths (where people definitely get 100/100 raw). You just gotta be ranked first in your school for all your subjects (and the subjects have to scale well of course). And even if you get 99/100 raw, if you aren't ranked first in your school...

    Half Yearly/Term 1 Past Papers

Half yearly papers are the hardest to find. I would mention peerd0c but apparently it doesnt work anymore :|

    Physics marathon (hsc)

Anyone have a copy of the paper?

This paper looks awesome (I did Barrett-Browning/Gatsby for Mod A, Hamlet for Mod B and Justice Game for Mod C last year)

Do you make notes for Maths?

Only nots I had for maths were class notes with derivations of proofs, ie differentiation by first principles, integration by first principles, the exponential function by first principles etc

What do you want to do as a Doctor?

Anyway, I don't know if any of you guys know this, but this is aimed more at high school students. In the coming years, the way medicine will be taught will be changed again to a more Americanised model. Rather than doing an undergraduate degree, followed by residency then speciality, a more...

Are morally objectionable acts excusable if enough people think it's ok?

It is interesting that you bring out the idea of autonomy, since what would happen if you're autonomy was influenced by your society. If society believes that rape is okay and therefore not a breach of your bodily autonomy, it is thus not bad. We have been conditioned to believe that certain...

What do you want to do as a Doctor?

Lol Dermatologist, good luck with that, only like 6 people get in every year

What's better, Cambridge 4u or Patel?

Didn't use an MX2 textbook XD

Record of completing Q1-Q4 of any HSC trial

It's not just by doing papers, it's by having an in depth knowledge of what you are doing. If you know how to derive everything, you will find your own short cuts to increase your speed

What will life be like after graduating from high school?

Studying at Uni is overrated, but at least you can chill knowing that even if you just cruise your course and pass everything, you will come out with the same degree as some of the more academic people.

how much should I be writing in 40 mins?!

The biggest advantage to your writing in SIZE. Make your writing BIG. As long as its BIG for all the old teachers to read, it does not matter if it is messy. My friend (who topped 3 subjects last year and came 3rd in EngX2) has the worst handwriting, it is literally a scrawl, but it is BIG!!!!

Raw Marks for First in course

I personally know the guy who topped MX2 last year and he got 99. for MX1 it is most certainly 100. I got 98 for chem which was top btw. I heard from some of my friends that 98 was top of english adv

    Med Interview + HSC tutoring

Probably engineering is harder then med, mainly because you don't do any engineering at school apart from basic physics and maths. There isn't a lot of hard maths in med (like calculus or trig which is most certainly in engineering), but there are some basic formulas which are tricky because...
