Are The Teachers Realistic In Regards to Hours Per Night?

^ I did like 2 hours a day and maybe 4 (if lucky) on the weekend. of course this increased to probably double during exams and right before HSC it was pretty much all the time. do as much as you need to understand everything and pace yourself. you're in a marathon and the end is a long way away

    Lying about atar to parents?

the best way to deal with this is to be honest. however, i can't press my opinion on you since i had very different parents during the HSC. Lying to them is feasible - schools wont contact you in regards to sharing your atar/hsc results. The Board of Studies and UAC will contact you though to...

PD Notes with Improving Performance and Sports Medicine

Hello current and future PD hscers i noticed there weren't that many notes/resources hanging around when i did my hsc and i thought i might be able to ease the load by handing out my notes. they cover the two cores and the options improving performance and sports medicine. i hope you find them...

2012 HSC Physics Notes + Quanta to Quarks

Hello year 12 physics students, i did the hsc last year and used these notes to get the mark that i got. they are by no means the best notes out there but they are quite good and cover all the dot points. feel free to use them to assist you in any way they can. :) The option i did was quanta to...

Complete notes from 2012 HSC Biology

I'm feeling particularly altruistic at the moment and as a result am uploading all my notes for physics, biology and PD. I used these notes for the HSC and they helped get me some solid marks. Feel free to use them. I hope that if you do that you find them as useful as I did. my option was...

    ATAR estimate please :)

they are accurate to within a few marks, mine was off by 2 lol. You guys wanting atar estimates, there is no way to predict what your atar will be. so much can change between now and your final exam. plug some numbers into an atar calculator and you'll see what you have to achieve 'roughly' to...

    In desperate need of HELP!

Ask the teacher to focus more on the work. Download a copy of the syllabus from the BOS. Summarise the info into dot-points from the textbook (I assume you have one) Get a tutor if you are completely stuck

    Sleep vs HSC

you can easily manage all the things you want to do. like people say have everything in moderation and try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep a night (more the night before an exam). 2 weeks to do an assignment is easy :) just smash through it one afternoon or on the weekend and don't leave it...

    HELP on note taking

i wrote mine out as the dot points went e.g. 1. title of the section - this is actually important to write down and know stuff about. the biology hsc last year asked a question about a person who was only mentioned in the topic outline 1.1 - notes 1.2 - notes 1.3 - notes etc

    any time :)
  16. J

    Recessive/Dominant defects

yes. in normal humans there are 2 pairs of each of the 23 chromosomes making 46 all up. polyploidy is where there is more than 2 copies of every single chromosome. e.g. 3 lots of every chromosome totaling in 69 chromosomes. going back to answer how you know whether a defect is recessive or...

    2U to General ?

i don't recommend dropping to general for the reasons other people have said. also i was under the impression that in government schools you can't be forced to drop a subject...

Lance Armstrong's confession to doping... What do you think?

-ultimate facepalm- in my opinion the his cycling and contributions to cancer are completely separate. i have no respect for him or anyone else who not only cheat but lie and are then exposed for what they are. on the other hand his contributions to cancer research have been beneficial to...
