    I'm assuming 2u, in which case make sure you get your shiz together cause prelim is like easy crap compared to HSC 2u... If 3u, you have to take serious steps to improve. 4u, if you've started it you're way ahead lol.

    Haha easy, quadratic polynomials yr 11. Expand lhs, factorise into brackets for x, x^2 etc and then compare coefficients.

    It went something like this. Two circles with centres (2,1), (3,2) and radii 2,5 respectively touch internally. A) Justify how they touch internally. B) Find the point of contact.

    (x+4)/(x-6) < 0 and (x-6)/(x-4) > 1 Ok, basically for the first one, denom disappears, you get x=-4. Second one the x cancels so no solution. Then look at the bottom, x cannot =4 or 6. Test values, and you'll get -4 < x < 6, x cannot = 4

    I have no idea what it means, but basically the question had two centers and radius's for two circles and told you to justify that the two circles touch internally but when you draw it, one circle is inside the other and then the next part of the questions says to find the point of contact?!

    Maths Ext 1

    Dude, the best is Cambridge as it allows you to understand the concept quite clearly as well as giving challenging questions. Straight after is Fitzpatrick with awesome hard ass questions. Maths in focus is a bit too easy and cheesy. Terry lee, never tried it.
