Ahhhh that does make a lot of sense as well, although my selective school lets us put up flyers if we're doing 1 on 1 tutoring (I say that, what I really mean is they don't pull them down).

Wow that's an interesting thought, I never knew that school played such a big influence in tutoring? Makes sense in retrospect though, I can see a North Shore Parent paying more for someone educated in the private education system because that's the system they're familiar with.

I mean I wonder how much the tutors get paid! And holy shit turns out I know that Aki Flame guy from some courses we did together as little kids, and I remember him only because he was the first name on my email list for a long long time. What a boss as well, 99.85, lad.

How much do you reckon you can charge as a State Ranker anyway? Are people willing to pay that much more for a premium?

Wow that's pretty sick, regret doing all humanities just a touch, but then again I've heard that the marking criteria is pretty fucked so maybe I didn't miss out on too much

Repeating ATAR vs Going to TAFE

I would imagine complacency becomes an issue, plus the fact that most of your mates are going out getting hammered every friday, studying just isn't as appealing as it was when your mates were all at school.

What's the layout for sciences? Is it just MC and S/A? Or are there essay components?

    Multiple Choice Marking

You'd have to write absolute drivel and make very little economic sense in order to get 10/20. I have a feeling you are severely underestimating yourself.

    NAIRU + reasons for differences

This is what the question was asking. It wanted you to say that macroeconomic policy will only go so far and that microeconomic reform is needed to lower the level of structural unemployment without inflationary growth.

    Hidden unemployment question?

I've been freaking out about this all day, obvz not a HSC marker but u made me feel more confident, cheers sk

    Hidden unemployment question?

How about the inverse? On top of the usual hidden unemployment is not counted in the unemployment statistics that has already been covered, I said that if hidden unemployment was to be included in the unemployment statistic, it would lead to a substantial increase in the unemployment rate.

HSC Hub-Pretty sick, helped with eco, no clue about other subjects. HSC in the holidays: Would have got more out of it if I spent the 8 hours studying on my own, I'd avoid it if I'm honst.

    General Thoughts: Economics

The headline rate of inflation refers to the rate of inflation where volatile items are included. Headline inflation is increasing whilst underlying inflation is going down. Decreased oil production is a volatile shock that could lead to an increase in the headline inflation rate, therefore A...

    General Thoughts: Economics

This is correct. You had to state that macro policies would lead only to increased inflation and a short term decrease in unemployment whilst micro policies will bring down the structural level of unemployment :)

    General Thoughts: Economics

You use your knowledge of the philips curve and/or the short term inverse relationship between unemployment and inflation.
