algebraic manipulation is a pretty fundamental skill, only reason they don't ask these types of questions in internal exams is because they are too easy and out of syllabus for hsc not because its hard but bc its foundational knowledge you should have done this in 5.3 or whatever

thats not as horrible as it could have been and def not unredeemable imo there is still hope for you but in the case you do badly in 4u or smth you need to have safety so i would highly recommend keeping earth especially if you're already decent at it and you can cope without putting too much...
