    Is it possible?

it's okay, i can assure you accelerating doesn't necessarily mean that you will get better marks in the subjects you accelerate. if you work hard you can do extremely well even in the normal stream. you got this 💪

not bothered to do the maths either but you are probably top 50

    Should i drop maths completely?

okay if you are struggling with standard in terms of the content being too difficulty, workload, not liking it etc. you should probably drop it dw about the prerequisite stuff honestly there are very few stem subjects that require maths as a prerequisite and honestly if you dislike standard...

    year 11 subject

@g4mm4 eng ext is only 1 unit but they want to do sor and eng ext together to have enough units agree with this part i wouldn't reccommend taking sor bc you have a lot of other hsie subjects, it doesnt necessarily tie in with the other content. for eng ext tho there is no specific assignment...

    Is it possible?

late year 10? isnt that after prelim content has already been covered

    Is it possible?

how on earth do you cope with accelerating that fast omg also a lot of schools dont let you accelerate that easily, a lot have entrance exams and benchmarks ppl have to meet in terms of marks to be eligible. and a lot wont let ppl accelerate even if they are good enough for it bc often the...

    Should i drop maths completely?

yup wait and see how the upcoming exam goes. i understand you might hate it and it might suck but since you are not 100% sure on what you want to do in uni i would keep maths to see if you suddenly become interested in stem subjects that need it or if you needed the atar boost that comes with...

    Is it possible?

im assuming you are in year 8. if you're not correct me. im also assuming your accelerated program is only 1 year ahead (i.e. if your hsc year is 2028 they do hsc in 2027). so you have until the start of year 11 content (if hsc year is 2027 then that means 2026) to join. if you are in y8 right...

    Is this true

ik the system is stupid but if you feel like you are actually financially disadvantaged try for adjustment factors otherwise don't stress abt not being financially disadvantaged it bc there is no point. you can get scholarships AND adjustment factors via exceptional academic and...

To what extent do schools fudge marks before they send them to NESA?

so moderation is essentially the process of taking your internal ranks and the relative differences between individual year 12 marks and using it to help determine your internal mark which is only 50% of your final hsc mark. while your cohort will affect your mark ultimately moderation will...

HELPP I got 10 more added marks to my science test

literally nobody is talking about you or saying you are in the wrong. your teacher made a mistake adding up your marks and added them up properly which does not mean they gave you extra marks, they just fixed their mistake, meaning neither or you are in the wrong. im not even replying to you im...

HELPP I got 10 more added marks to my science test

this is selection bias i reckon. for example if you failed sciences all throughout y7-10 you likely wouldn't pick y11/12 sciences. out of the very few ppl that do, most of them are somewhat academically driven and working on fixing their issues so they would have been more likely to work hard...

HELPP I got 10 more added marks to my science test

they should mark all years fair wtaf are you on. if you handed free marks out to ppl you are only reinforcing the fact that if you screw up in the future someone is gonna save you and add on marks. honestly im shocked ppl in your schools actually do this type of stuff, mine would probably fail...

HELPP I got 10 more added marks to my science test

i still stand by what i said earlier abt this in the case that you get your marks changed for no good reason. its like hiring someone to do something wrong for you because if you didn't ask them they wouldn't have done it. doesn't matter whether or not they did it but you are the cause
