Should I learn an instrument during year 11?

As a person who playing violin for HSC Music 2, it's a great way to procrastinate while your mind is still doing something. Up to you, like do you have a music background already? Or are you picking it up with limited musical experience? (In which case I'd definitely chose guitar over violin...

    People doing music?!?!?!

I use Sibelius, and well its the one that has the most features. So if your comp is turning out to be really rhythmically complex filled with trills and ornaments and stuff like that which is really hard to notate, then i'd get sibelius. However, it does take a while to get used to the program...

    Exam Time Notes

Yeah if the teacher gives a lot of sheets out loose leaf is way better, but then if you loose sheets of paper then loose leaf probably isn't the best. I prefer it because of portability and organisation, but everyone will have different opinions. Try one in year 11 and then try the other if you...

Anyone keen to share their after school schedule?

You get home at 3:10?! That's when I finish school! I tend to start practice around 4:30pm-5/5:30pm then start homework till dinner, then do some revision/more homework after dinner, and try to get to sleep by 11pm. On the weekends I tend to do the most work, with about 3-4 hours of solid work...

    Study Periods

In year 11 I had to tolerate sport (like why seriously) but thankfully once Year 12 started in Term 4 there isn't sport which frees up so much time. I was doing 13 units with ext maths in the morning and got no study periods at all (which really really sucked). So be glad for your frees in year...

    Chemistryyy

Figures. Most people in (my) year 11 (class) when its first taught don't get it immediately, so it's great it looks like you've got your head wrapped around the concept

    EA Novels

Even inside the same grade there can be different texts studied, for example our class was reading North and South, another Northanger Abbey.

How many ring binders do I need?

I got a ring binder to carry around for each subject then filed them into a larger folder after the topic was done, so I got 1 ring binder. Perhaps get a few but not too many (perhaps 3?) and see what works
