SIGMA > ACE ????? (FOR PHYSICS)

The teacher is really good and he's a HSC marker, but the resources are really good too. Goes really in depth with content which I believe is essential to get high 90s in science subjects, and incorporates many HSC questions as practice, especially tricky ones.

SIGMA > ACE ????? (FOR PHYSICS)

I haven't been to Ace but I went to Sigma and I can't see how any tutoring centre could beat Sigma for physics

Any advice for maths ext 1? I'm feeling screwedd...

Yeah 1 booklet per question so I sometimes started the question that had circle geo in it or my favourite topics to get a confidence booster and I reckon the mental advantage helps a bit That's sad it was actually some nice marks that you can obtain from reading time

Any advice for maths ext 1? I'm feeling screwedd...

My best advice is to finish the circle geo in reading time and take your time with silly mistakes since I think maths ext 1 has a lot of time to do the exam, good luck! Edit: Also personally I just start with my favourite section, like if I see Q13 has all stuff that I like then I start there...

    Maths: Private or Dr. Du?

Probably Dr Du since you get more classes out of it and the tutors are guaranteed to be decent/good whereas private might be iffy. There are some really good private tutors out there for cheap so if you can get a cheap and good one I'd probably recommend private since you can ask as many...

    ATAR <95 is... No

Yeah it doesn't technically matter after this year but I still think it's good to aim high for personal goals but I also personally believe it has SOME indication of work ethic

    how many hours of study

Yeah I found it pretty good tbh, while friends in other schools were stressing about the HSC exams, for us it was normal because we went through it 3 times already LOL

    how many hours of study

Yeah same our school had 3 sets of trials back then (so 3 trial blocks, i.e 3 trials per subject) and I somehow had to cram every single one... the pressure just makes study so efficient sometimes

    how many hours of study

Yeah I think the number of hours depends on your goals as others have said. I think my planner for the HSC was to do 3 papers per day as study but that failed a lot since it's impossible for me to focus that long every single day, so it ended up being 2 papers per day on average I think. Good...

Can your school stop you from doing the hsc

I didn't really mind since I was pretty antisocial in high school anyway xD

Can your school stop you from doing the hsc

I went to a catholic school so we didn't get a muck up day but I doubt they can stop you from doing the HSC, but they can probably try and make the journey there hell

Should I do both Extension English & Extension Maths in HSC?

If you're doing better in ext english then keep that but make sure you check all the medicine uni requirements before you drop biology (even interstate ones) just in case they need it.

    How to deal with disappointment

Basically just have to reflect on why you did bad and fix mistakes before HSC starts I guess. It is what it is, almost everyone stuffs up at times in their academic life, it's just about getting back up to do better next time.

    Who likes Kpop here?

Yeah I liked "How you like that" a lot, but anyway I prefer BTS songs more than Blackpink since they're more hype/catchy

    Who likes Kpop here?

Fav girl group, but didn't really like the "Ice Cream" collab with selena

    chemistry or physics

I THINK chemistry has harder maths than physics, because physics was just basic knowledge about substituting, equating formulas, converting between units.
  19. pikachu975

    chemistry or physics

If you enjoy physics imo just keep that, unless chem is a PREREQUISITE or ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE for ur uni degree. If it's not then I wouldn't bother since they'll teach the required content anyway. For example I did first year economics and it was basically the same as HSC economics apparently but...

Advice when asking for a remark?

I reckon asking your teacher for feedback about why you got the mark, and if the reason doesn't justify your mark then argue for more marks. I felt this way when I got 12/20 for an english speech that weighed 15% and tried to ask for a re-mark, but didn't end up getting more marks and had to...
