Studying non-stop, and its only Year 11, what should I do?

Ask yourself how are you studying? Are you just using notes and memorising them continuously? Are you not doing past papers (not doing enough)? If that is the case then you will need to change your ways of study (I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying change to something that would seem...

    Locus worksheet

MIF has basic questions so it's good to use if you're weak at the topic. I would recommend using Cambridge since it has harder questions. Also try to get your hands on past papers for harder questions From memory Baulkam hill high 2U maths trial 2016 last question was locus

    HELP with Subject Selection (URGENT)

Just do whatever subjects you feel comfortable with. As said you can get 99+ ATAR with any subject combination and yes you'd have to do well in humanities. Chuck in some marks in an ATAR calculator and then you'll know what you really need to aim for

How to prepare for the hsc

I think a good substitute for tutoring would be the following 1. Videos on NSW HSC subjects 2. Past papers (lots of them can be found at THSC) 3. A dedicated teacher who is willing to look over your responses for English, the sciences, humanities, etc

    How to study effectively

I think according to what everyone has said, you will need to learn by yourself Regarding studying for your subjects you need to find out what method of study works for you best Eng Adv: know your quotes, write practice essays and get lots of feedback, read your texts, etc Bio+Phys: know your...

    study help

I believe with regards to this you have trouble memorising a large amount of content? If you have trouble memorising a large amount of content, take the following into account 1)there's a finite amount of what they can ask in bio 2)a "worksheet method" 3)past papers 4) learning from mistakes...

    HELP with Subject Selection (URGENT)

I don't think it would because in a selective school there's a large amount of band 6s and 99+ atars

Would the number of units affect your ATAR?

I personally think no If you have 12 units, you have a backup just in case you bomb out in one subject although 10 units means you can spend more time on other subjects. It really depends on how you perform, if you do 12 units, study smart/hard and get a good mark then continue having 12...

    HELP with Subject Selection (URGENT)

Good point but you can still get good marks, even if your internal ranks aren't good. Just aim for the best mark/rank possible for internals (it's a fight for ranks) and for HSC externals get the best possible mark by working together with your cohort
