Your actual 4u mark does not affect your 3u mark at all. It is only used for state ranks (which do not affect to your atar).

Looking at the database, It seems that in 2018 71 aligned to 89 and 80 aligned to 90. So I think, either 80 was the highest mark to align to 90 (ie cutoff was lower than 80), or someone entered a false data point. I highly doubt 80 was the cutoff last year, because after doing every post 2010...

What are the chances of a 69 aligning to 100? I mean I know the 100 definitely won't be a state rank, but I know that once a 99 aligned to 100 (seen in raw marks database)

Only if there are ties. But in 3u, I'm fairly sure it is usually a tie between like 20/30 people for 100. So generally, they do need to look at 2u/4u marks.

No way it'll be below 70/70. Even then, I don't think full marks will be enough. You'd need a really good 2u/4u mark aswell.

I gave a worded solution for 14biii (the x1<a<x2 question). I am very sure it is valid, but i'm not sure the markers accept that sort of thing. Will I still get full marks if I proved it graphically? Will the marker even bother trying to interpret what I was saying?
