Does your marks in Year 11 count towards your HSC?

    New C Class

I really cannot believe for so many years Mercedes have managed to sell out shit like that in droves. I've always loathed their designs, both in and out with a particularly acute ire. Jaguar manage to bring out a design a billion times better in their XF and don't even score a rate. It must have...

    Ebola Spreading Fast

I'm absolutely horrified. I have already made plans to move permanently to the Caribbean in an effort to inoculate myself from this awful disease that is bound to turn this world into a decrepit blub of timber and soil. The end times are nigh. Behold! Actually. Perhaps I should fly straight...

Need help and advice on subject selection!!

My two cents: You're mad if you stick with Economics. Have you seen the syllabus for the HSC course? It is the heaviest HSIE subject. It appears your economics teacher leaves a lot to be desired anyway. Drop the thing sweet heart.

    APC/APS and MPC/MPS

The syllabus makes a big deal of this point. "in the economy as a whole, as income rises the level of saving increases" pg 18. Don't you just love the syllabus.

Mod C: Smithsonian Website. Need help.

Well... they produced a pretty good documentary on D-Day that aired on ABC or SBS. But that's about all I know. Interesting prescription, mind you.

    Year 11 2014 Chat :)

I'd be interested to know.. What does 'studying' mean for you folks? Is it reading over notes or textbooks and reinforcing the information through answering questions for example? Does anybody think research constitutes studying? If it's agreed studying is different for every subject, is...

    Legal Studies Notes

Here's a Legal studies note for you jem. Irrelevant evidence is called obiter dictum.

    Modern History Final Solution Essay

You've probably handed this in by now, but I'll go ahead anyway. I think you have developed your argument strongly although more evidence is needed. There are a few things I'd like to point out in a grammatical/syntactical sense. 1. 'Intentionalists' is spelt with an apostrophe. I'm not sure...
  16. E

    Extension English narrative assignment

Quite cursory advice... but it looks you're heading for something like Tim Winton style literature. I would go with something to do with family tension perhaps.

    Your favourite smells?

My aunty's sofas. My parents' lawyer's office. And gasoline.

How to Write Notes for Maths Exam

Just to complement the aforementioned counsels; acronyms seem an efficacious way, for me at least, to remember said formulas, techniques and/or methods.

    Subject selection 2014 year 11

Absolutely fantastic range of subjects. Provided of course, you understand what they involve and your performance in them.

    Help with selective application

The beauty of the Board of Studies' definition of discuss is that it makes ambiguous if you are required to "identify issues" on both sides. It says "for and/or against" - thus, you can pick only one side and save yourself the time of writing, essentially, a second essay on the...
