Would a tablet be useful in Uni?

I find doing maths or statistics, drawing graphs/tables to be a pain on my laptop/tablet. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways! :)

    Regrets of Picking Certain Subjects

Hmm probably 3u maths (But I was more than capable, just lost interest in it) and perhaps I'd have replaced legal studies with modern history. I should have put some more effort into 2u maths and dropped history extension.

Psychology - Bachelor of Arts or Science?

Not too sure about UMelb, but at USyd, there is no difference between the two, if you intend on studying a psych major. However, I feel the Bachelor of Arts is more flexible, as BSci at USyd has some core components.

    2013 Federal election

Re: 2013 Australian Federal election A. Coalition victory (I have a feeling Greenway & other swing seats in NSW will vote for the Libs this time round) B. The economy, asylum seekers, ad-hominem bullshit from Gillard and the handbag hitsquad, carbon tax and integrity (if any such thing exists...

Would a tablet be useful in Uni?

I use a Macbook Air 13''. If its a degree with lots of writing then go for the tablet. If its a science/math/commerce degree, stick to pen and paper.

Psychology and law notes - first year?

Law is all about solving problems - in particular, solving problems in time-pressured exam situation, delivering a concise, legal argument. 1. Everyone will tell you to do so, and I know initially you won't believe me and you won't listen, but...DO NOT READ CASES. They are so confusing and...

    Is law boring?

I find it interesting, but I have a passion for law and enjoy learning about it. In my first year the content wasn't dry at all - it was very interesting and engaging. You apply what you learn to problem questions so you know what your learning is relevant and practical. Law requires logic...

Pros and Cons of doing both Modern and Ancient.

Both are great subjects. They don't relate in anyway in terms of content - however, in terms of presentation they do (i.e. similar syllabus structure, similar exam structure, similar approach to answers questions (referring to sources etc.). I got 98 in ancient history and that was the main...

    Pharmacy Salary

"At $39,042, starting salaries for pharmacy graduates (pre-registration) are very low compared with most other fields of study, but upon registration — typically 12 months after graduation — salaries usually rise significantly" Source...

Which dual commerce degree should I do?

Have you thought about Commerce/Law? That's probably one of the best for career opportunities. UNSW has a wonderful internal transfer system, whereby for an internal transfer to law, they just consider your first year WAM - meaning if you study hard and get good grades in first year (i.e. get...

University Preferences (Medicine Goal) HELP Desperate!!

Personally I think B Physio at USyd is your best bet. Why? 1. It gives you a REAL option and a real DECENT paying career when you graduate (unlike MedSci) 2. Medical Science doesn't really help with GAMSAT preparation, (don't quote me on this, but I believe it tests 1st year science in bio...

How much money have you got saved in bank?

I'm 18 with about $12k in savings. I want to save up for a deposit to buy my first property by the time I graduate uni.

What career would you pursue if you knew you couldn't fail?

Right now hmm...Management consulting or corporate law, and property investing/developing as a secondary career, until I have enough investments to retire and do it fulltime. But if I knew I couldn't fail...I would love to make TV shows or movies! I want to be a film director, also I wouldn't...

What to say when people ask what your atar was?

Lol someone asked me, "What was your ATAR", I literally responded, "Enough to get me into the best undergraduate law school in the southern hemisphere". Silence ensued. Don't tell anyone your ATAR if you don't want to. It's none of their business.

    Least favourite maths topic.

Most of maths doesn’t exist. For example, there is no such thing as negative numbers. I can’t hold in my hand negative-something, there is no thing that is below zero. Subtraction doesn’t exist either. It is just adding negative numbers, which don’t exist. Addition doesn’t exist either because...
