    Medical Science and Electives @UNSW

I feel like I would like to go with Psych B more than A but are we allowed to enroll into B before A (or not do A at all) if we were choosing this as an elective?

    General Thoughts: Food Technology

I found some of the questions to be worded very strangely. Quite misleading. BOS gotta get their act together!

Tips from 2012 HSC students to 2013 students

I would set a limit when you sleep the night before and make sure you cannot surpass this. There is a certain amount you can cram the night before, before it becomes a waste of time. My curfew was 11.30 but I usually slept at 10 on normal nights. If I felt the need, I would wake up at 5 to...

Tips from 2012 HSC students to 2013 students

I'll give advice for the subjects we have in common. Economics: I didn't like this subject until HSC exams which sounds weird but in studying it for the last time, it made me realise that it's taught me so much. You can apply your theory to the "real world". I subscribed the AFR but you can...

Who is in the same situation as me. Doing a one night cram for economics.

Re: For question 28 I didnt talk about microeconomic policies? comments I mean. Exemplars are exemplars. Someone I know who did really well at economics two years ago said you don't need to be high in quantity, and he said one or two "illuminating" stats will do well. Him saying that shocked me...

What are you going to do the moment you finish your HSC ?

A discussion for the Average BoS user ~ How are you going with your Study/HSC/etc

No matter. I wasn't motivated till I saw how important it was (ie. when exams started). I guess don't view motivation as something that is fleeting. It has to be solid, it has to be there. You can't get anywhere otherwise. Ask yourself what you want from this year. It can be the popular answer...

A discussion for the Average BoS user ~ How are you going with your Study/HSC/etc

I'm kind of happy that you are concerned with this now. I mean, you sound motivated so I wish you all the best with sustaining this. I'm sure you can do this and do really well even if you are doubtful. I never consistently studied. I would always study 2 weeks before my block of trials though...

A discussion for the Average BoS user ~ How are you going with your Study/HSC/etc

Asian or not, here is my life story. I had 4 exams this week. The night before was the first time I've ever touched past HSC questions for Economics and Biology respectively. I do pay attention in class though. But it's human nature to leave everything till the last minute. The night before, I...

What are you going to do the moment you finish your HSC ?

First, I'm going to watch all 24 seasons of Survivor. Then I'm going to get a visa, gets a dual citizenship Aus-US and go on the show Survivor.

    Section 1, Part A - Multiple Choice

I put D as well. I thought it was illogical for the model to involve people selecting the 'favourable species' (the biscuits they wanted to eat) because it is meant to be the other way round. The favourable species are meant to remain. In saying that, I did change my answer to D from the answer...

Who is in the same situation as me. Doing a one night cram for economics.

Re: For question 28 I didnt talk about microeconomic policies? comments Obviously I don't know exactly what will get full marks what won't. But in terms of the question, that being a ridiculously broad one, I think if you applied economic theory and integrated an argument of assessment in...

    Section 1, Part A - Multiple Choice

I think the curve of best fit is everyone's nightmare. I've had it in my school exams and it still hasn't taught me to practice them.

Who is in the same situation as me. Doing a one night cram for economics.

Re: For question 28 I didnt talk about microeconomic policies? comments I'd say 1000. I don't really understand why people get worked up with quantity though. I know for a fact that you can get full marks with a 800-900 word essay. Economics is all about hitting the nail on the head.

Who is in the same situation as me. Doing a one night cram for economics.

Re: For question 28 I didnt talk about microeconomic policies? comments I think everyone needs to calm down. You aren't "fucked". I responded to the question with three key economic objectives. Economic growth, price stability/sustainable inflation and low unemployment at NAIRU. I was...

    Roll Call: Class of 2012

Hi. I'm Joanne. The subjects I do are Maths 2u, Maths 3u, English Adv, English Ext 1, Food Technology, Biology and Economics (and I did an accelerated course of IPT in Year 10). I haven't felt the need to have an ATAR goal. I know it's good to have some motivation in that sense. But no.

    Rate difficulty of exam

The Genetics option was tricky. Particularly the 8 marker. But the thing I liked about the exam was the fact that it was challenging for once. Previous papers haven't had that facet to them and thus biology has this perception of easiness tied to it which it TOTALLY DOES NOT DESERVE.
