    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread It's covered by FEE-HELP, but you'll need to apply for it. If the option is online do it there, otherwise go to the Summer School office in the Institute Building.

    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Oh cool you still get Centrelink payments over there? Did not know that haha. Maybe include something about the application process as well; the information online is a little bit sparse.

    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Nice. I'm thinking of going on exchange once I start my next degree, so yeah a guide would be good :).

    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread The workload's not unmanageable. Yes, you are cramming a 13 week course into 5-6 weeks, but if you consider that you're only doing 1 or 2 subjects in comparison to doing 4, to me it feels no worse than a standard semester. But again, I can only really speak...

    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Depends on the subject. While I doubt that all of the places are going to be taken up in one day, it's good to get in early just to be 100% sure. It's all online; tomorrow the Summer School web pages for each of the subjects will have an option to apply and...

    USYD Chatter Thread

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Yep, I've done Summer School subjects every year since I started at USYD, and will be continuing to do so for the next couple of years. What do you want to know?

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Oh so that's where you are these days. Cool :) Which university you at?

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Interesting day for me. Was toying with the idea of doing a minor in psychology. Then I started looking into things, and it turns out with careful planning I can complete an entire psychology major in one year. I'm quite proud of myself haha.

Help! Law at Sydney/UTS? Very confused

If you don't like the USYD atmosphere then don't be afraid to look elsewhere. USYD law may have the prestige, but that doesn't necessarily make it the best university. It's a subjective thing, so if you think that UTS is better for you, then go there. But I wouldn't consider the length of the...

Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread Anybody else's attendance rate been pretty slack this semester? Or is it just me?

Does anyone know where the Manning Sunken Lawn is?

Ah, so I was wrong . Knew it was one of the two.

Does anyone know where the Manning Sunken Lawn is?

Even if I'm not, the only other place it could be would be the terraced gardens on the east side. Either way, go to Manning and you're in the general area.

Does anyone know where the Manning Sunken Lawn is?

I would guess that they're the lawns on the southern side of the building. They look relatively sunk to me .

    mq to usyd

Yes. Stay for an extra semester and transfer midway through next year if you wish.

Question about admission to USYD Commerce

For USYD internal transfer your WAM will only be considered if it is greater than your ATAR. That being said, Stop being so melodramatic. You're not helping anybody with that attitude.

    Liberal Leadership spill 2015

I don't fancy Morrison's chances; if he were to challenge he'd split the right faction votes between Abbott and himself, which would probably put Turnbull in an even stronger position. I'd say he's better off backing Turnbull.

    Liberal Leadership spill 2015

Finally. Been waiting a long time for this :).

Journalism/Communication (postgrad coursework) at USYD vs UNSW vs UTS

Go to the university Info Days and decide which program best suits you.

    Nanotechnology unis

I'd question those figures. The USYD Nanoscience Hub had $131 million invested in it alone. Like I said, whatever university you feel more comfortable with is the best to go to. So if perceived prestige really means that much to you, than that's fine. Just be aware that in reality it won't...
