    Is Business studies worth doing?

    That's the way m8, haha :^)

    Is Business studies worth doing?

It's true. If you just take some time to think about each concept in business studies, it will seem like common sense (maybe that's why it's so dry). Doesn't scale too well either, I think a low 80s raw cutoff = a band 6. Compare that to something like Chemistry or the Extension maths subjects...

    final ranks estimate!

95-96. Depends on your external tho :)
  5. T

    Might as well face reality

You'll definitely be able to achieve 85 based on current results, externals are worth a lot and you've got a month to go, so there's still time to prepare. I should know because I was in your position 1 year ago, having achieved disappointing internal results but blitzing the externals (in my...

How to regain motivation and avoid burning out post-Trials

Yeah, I felt the same way one year ago, but I guess you've got to remember that it isn't over till it's over heh, externals are 50% of your final mark and is influenced entirely by how you perform on the day so it's important to do well. You've worked so hard to get here, so don't let it all go...

Atar ESTIMATE PLEASE say I AM close to 90 ATAR

Looks good to me, depends on your externals but based on these results, you're def sitting at 90 :)
  8. T

    wanting a very good atar..

Yeah it's possible, externals are 50% of your final mark and you've got 1.5 months. Start studying NOW and you'll be able to achieve your goal for sure :)

    My Situation

It would be best to know the content thoroughly but what is more important is, as said above being able to properly apply it. Just do heaps of practice questions using what you have! (with solutions attached)

So 3 weeks left to trials... can i do it?

3 weeks is plenty of time. Just quickly review your notes and get to doing practice papers/questions. If you don't have notes, make some quick dot points notes for every subject and take some time to go over them. It really just comes down to actually starting!

    Marks needed for 97 atar?

I think you'd need high band 5's and maybe even a band 6 for the sciences and English, a high E4 for 3U (47+) and an E4 for 4U. What I'm telling you could be completely wrong though, you should just play around with ATAR calculators to be sure.

Flunked in one assessment. What now?

You're sitting at a 63/70 internal raw which means with Trials, that could leave you with a finished internal mark of 85-95 provided you do well in your Trial exams (which you have plenty of time to prepare for as long as you start now). This kind of raw is an easy band 6 for Business Studies...

How to not feel stressed during the exam?

Like astroman said, you should make a study timetable that lists what you are going to do on each day for the next few weeks, and when you are going to do it e.g. 8-10pm, English, or something like that. This will save a lot of stress as the exam day approaches which will allow you to focus on...

Am I able to achieve an ATAR of 92+ even if I failed my internals?

You Trials are worth 30-50% of your final internal mark. That means that if you do very well in your Trials, your internal marks will be pushed up significantly. This happened to many people I knew who didn't do too spectacularly during the entire year but studied hard for the Trials and pushed...

Can you get a high ATAR...

All low-mid to mid range band 5's for the sciences and a high band 5 for 2U should net you a 90 atar for those subjects. It really depends on your English mark though as well.
