    bored of studying for sc

3 hours is waaay too much. Your brain might explode from all the useless info you probably won't actually need for the tests. Just chill out and make flash cards, they're pretty effective, or get a study group going or something.

How are you studying for the School Certificate?

Well said. It's true that you need the SC to do the HSC, so it is kind of important in a way, even if it is slightly useless in every other situation.I'm just relieved that trials are over so I can relax now and look forward to the formal and work experience

Who is ready for yr 11?

Agreed. I chose 2U advanced to give it a try - I can always drop to standard maths if it gets too hard - but I salute those who do 3U... I just got my subjects for next year and am soo happy with them: I can't explain my excitement. As for school... it's the week after our yearly exams and...

How are you studying for the School Certificate?

I think you mean your trials are tomorrow, rather than the actual SC which isn't for a couple of weeksStudy? For the SC? Seriously? I'll probably just do some past exams and leave it at that, no worries.Heaps of people at my school are stressing, but it's like you get 50% for just writing your...

How long do u study for each day???

Except I think trials/yearly exams are more difficult than the SC, and with more subjects

How long do u study for each day???

Study... for the SC...? Are you mad? I'm stressing out because my trials are the first week back (three exams on Monday) and I've been doing at least four hours study each day For the SC, I'm just going to do some practice tests - not going to worry because I'll probably have memorised all of my...

Who is ready for yr 11?

New subjects, more freedom. No more geography, australian history, PE or commerce. Looks pretty good to me: I'm heaps excited.

School plans for year 10 in term 4

After the SC, we have to do All My Own Work, then for English we have to do this massive speech. Maths, I think we split into our classes for next year (which I think is stupid because even though most kids in my year are doing maths, some aren't) and prepare for year 11, seeing as we're not...

    studying with music?

It all depends what type of study I'm doing... for maths, I listen to classical music like Yiruma, Michael Nyman and Rondo Veneziano because if I listen to music with lyrics, I tend to get distracted and find myself singing along instead of studying If I'm just summarising, any type of music...

    cancel SC

So true... they said the same thing last year as well, and it never happened. I wouldn't count on it.

    Parkway Drive

Haha I kind of agree with this. The only music I listen to when I'm pissed off is metal, mainly KoRn, Disturbed, Parkway, IKTPQ, Metallica, Pantera, etc... But, I do enjoy listening to metal sometimes when I'm not angry, usually only KoRn, Disturbed and Metallica because there's no screaming...

    your current favourite song

Free of Me by Joshua Radin... I downloaded it last night and can't stop listening to it: it's such an amazing song, but too short :(

Which subject is a crime against nature subject in year 10 syllabus?

Geography. I hate it with a passion. Australian History I also hate: it's intensely boring and sends me to sleep, also due to my teacher who drones on like there's no tomorrow. Except the Migrants topic which I liked because we studied the Italians for our migrant group and that's a part of my...

    How do you study?

I summarise, put all my notes into bullet points and read them aloud and usually record them so I can play them over whenever I want to. But sometimes, if the topic is exceptionally boring, that strategy doesn't work. For my half-yearlies in History and Geography, I couldn't remember a thing...

    Not recieve SC threat

Yeah it's true... if you fail health or PE, you don't get a SC. Which is stupid because we don't even have an external exam for PD/H/PE, but I suppose because it is a compolsory subject...

    2 Major policies?

Why wouldn't you do the Aboriginal land rights policies he put in place? That one would be much easier because there's more to write about. There's not much you can write about medibank.

    Don't Panic!

We just had a full day of history revision at my school, and one of our teachers was teaching us how to go full-out with studying. I was sitting there thinking, What's the point seriously? I barely think about the SC... I'm a bit stressed about my yearlies which are the first week back next...

    School Certificate 2009

Haha I didn't even realise that it's in two months. Wow I'm observant. And no way have I started studying... I've already got so many assignments to do (mainly from Social Sciences... why did I choose Society and Culture for next year! I'm going to drown in assignments!) No idea when I'll...

    Year 11 Subjects!

I get to hand mine in two weeks after the holidays. Very late, but I guess it helps people like my best friend to think over their options. I took a while trying to decide between Society & Culture and CAFS and other subjects, but here's the final list: English Advanced English Ext. 1...
