Random thought for encouragement for low achievers

I got Cs and Ds in my report from Year 8 to the start of Year 11. Considered dumb by my teachers. Changed schools, stepped up my game in Year 11 Yearly Exams and Year 12. Doing fine now, will get a decent ATAR if I do as well in my externals as I did in trials (95+ estimated, no tutoring or...

Any real-world 'smart' people feel really inferior on BOS?

There are two people I know my age who I would consider genuinely brilliant. One happens to be good at the HSC, will probably get 99+ ATAR. The other one's estimated in the 70s-80s. Both are intensely curious about everything, both are incredibly original thinkers, both have great intellect...

    2014 HSC English Predictions?

I reckon they'd specify that as part of the question, e.g. "In your analysis, consider the ways possibilities are presented by a sense of belonging to or exclusion from the text."

"Write a persuasive response" - pretty much an essay, but honing down on your points and chucking in some 'persuasive' vocabulary.

    Not remembering essays

I'm not memorising any essays, it worked in trials. I just remember quotes and techniques, and do a timed practice essay every day in the weeks leading up to exams. You have to be relatively good at bullshitting on the spot though. But with practice, you can start to bullshit well. You just end...

    School rankings by subject list?

Does anyone have a link to the school rankings list where they state the top schools in Mathematics and English? I saw a list like that ages ago, but I can't find it anywhere. Next to each ranking, they have a DA percentage for that particular subject for each school. Anyone know?
