Familiarise yourself with some shorthand, or create a system that abbreviates words and phrases into symbols. But make sure you understand what you are writing (obvious but crucial for note taking success). ;)

Look at the picture of the model: I like the mahogany leather, myself, with the burgundy tie. Tan shoes are also a nice look with the right tie- maybe navy or plum coloured. It depends also on your personal looks; olive skin, light hair ect. Just go with something individual but not too out...
