  1. Q

    MQ b.comm -> UNSW b.comm

Through UAC just like you’re in year 12. Just gotta pay $70 which is a pain but ehh.
  2. Q

Is the PPE course(philosophy, politics and economics course) better at ANU or UNSW?

Might as well do UniMelb while you’re at it? More fun lol
  3. Q

Plan and Timings for HSC/Trial Exams

Some people do Eco in a weird order (Essay 1, SA, MC, Essay 2) which might be good for you? I just did all exams in order cos I wasn’t bothered with ‘strategy’ - just learn the stuff and you’ll be alright.
  4. Q

    How does transferring work

Best route is the one that will give you a solid backup, in case the route doesn’t work out. That would be doing mechanical (probs the closest to aero) at a different uni then transferring across to aerospace. If the marks aren’t great, then you have the great option of continuing to a mech...

help - running out of time

    99.96 still in reach?
  6. Q

    Sci extension

Senior science does not exist anymore - it got cut out of the syllabus in 2018-19. It has been “replaced” by investigating science, but the courses are very different.
  7. Q

    ATARs, uni and the like

    easily doxxable lol
  8. Q

    UNSW Medicine

Wouldn't it be more useful to consider the trends in your own school and ones similar to it?
  9. Q

    Bombed my mid-years (need motivation)

Nah year 11 lazy fucker me in adv - lol ppl thought I was an idiot for dropping to std bc "scaling!" Yes you are correct 89 = 89. If you can dig it up (atar prediction post or something) I was either 100 or 101/135ish in advanced in year 11. English is such a wavy subject tho - there were single...
  10. Q

    ATARs, uni and the like

    WSU coming in clutch
  11. Q

    Bombed my mid-years (need motivation)

can’t relate - triple digit rank lol
  12. Q

    Improving writing speed

    Saw the word battery lol
  13. Q

    ATARs, uni and the like

Lowkey doesn’t really matter unless you want to do med. BUT if you take one gap year, UAC will just use your last years ATAR. You need to take 3-4 gap years to have the ATAR erased and to be considered under mature aged pathways (which are often much more limited).
  14. Q

    Improving writing speed

Battery is useless (even harmful) from what my friends have experienced. Once you take the batteries off, the pen is too light and tends to fall out of your hand because you’re not used to it. I found that using big open strokes (like a year 3 kid) increases speed AND legibility under time...
  15. Q

(ENGLISH) Just finished Year 11 Term 1, beyond overwhelmed by what's in store

didn't even do it lmao I didn't get the "hey maybe you should do medicine" talk until I got my ATAR (for the first change of preferences)
  16. Q

(ENGLISH) Just finished Year 11 Term 1, beyond overwhelmed by what's in store

Cutoffs were much lower back then - that’s why my mum thought I was an idiot for not doing med lmao (fat chance with my ATAR lol)
  17. Q

Is the PPE course(philosophy, politics and economics course) better at ANU or UNSW?

Economics has a lot of maths as well - but it tends to be "oh here's the formula without explanation".
  18. Q

Is the PPE course(philosophy, politics and economics course) better at ANU or UNSW?

One thing to note: ANU = Canberra. Since you’re considering international, living funds should be fine but Canberra isn’t all that buzzing.
