    CA or CPA at USyd

Hi, I'm a combined law student transferee. I have done all the 1st commerce core subjects. If I take the CPA route in USyd, I have to take INFS2001. Even though I got a HD in the first year Business & Info Sys equivalent, I rather avoid the subject unless it's absolutely necessary. Below is the...

    Is University overrated these days?

I usually don't agree with you Ben. But you're spot on in this matter. Telling the questioner you do 'law' is not good enough these days. Often they would ask which university you do it at, and if it is perceived as a lower tier university, they would shun it away. And yes, trades are great...

    ANU@Citigate.......wooo!(sarcastic)

Wow, this link makes it sound like hell. Doesn't seem much of a study environment as well, with cobwebs, spiders and whatnot. Maybe you would be better of spending 5 days in Canberra and finding a room that's located close to the university. Even though it's extremely stressful, I'm sure you...

Who has goals of going to Harvard University?

Lol I always imagined the intake to be about 60% white. Didnt know it was that bad.

Who has goals of going to Harvard University?

Wow 100k donations? That's quite a sum. Thanks for the info arjun.

    living costs

If it helps, shopping in asian grocery shops for veggies and rice would be cheaper than ANU. Or even go to the market on saturday when they have to clear stock. Personally, I have never done that. I hate people-pushing.

    ANU@Citigate.......wooo!(sarcastic)

$163 seems great with brekkie and dinner included. But for your sake, I hope the food is good. Would you be signing a one year lease?

    Is University overrated these days?

Well, during the baby-boomers period (aka dad and mum), you could still find work even without a degree. Not many baby-boomers went to university maybe because their parents did not go to university. It was socially acceptable not to go to university. However as technology advances, the...

    University Impact on Career Prospects

I agree with what chefman said. But, if you want a top tier graduate law internship (your first job), it's best to transfer to a more recognised university like UWS, Mac, UTS. However, as you job-hop and work for several years, where you get your law degree from becomes less relevant as far as...

Who has goals of going to Harvard University?

Why not you just go to USyd, enroll in the law school. Try out for the Harvard exchange? Though I imagine this would be tremendously difficult.

    BOS USYD Roll Call 2010

Wow. So do you get three degrees or just two?

    NO accommodation

The furnishing at University Gardens looks really good (and new!). The only thing I dislike is how the study desks are placed together. $163 all utilities paid is reasonable. However 5km is quite far for campus accommodation. I prefer this to Unilodge because you don't pay rent all year round...

    No accommodation offers. Rex?

Lol Toadies, that's cute. Anyway, you must have really hated that place so much to pay even though you are not living there. Was it more of a 'people' problem (like noisy postgrads) or an 'environment problem' (unlivable conditions)?

ANU VS. MACU - Commerce Urgent!

Personally, I would go to MacU, get a high credit/distinction average and then transfer to unsw or usyd. As long as you are willing to work hard, that transfer is almost guaranteed. Plus the extra cost to living in Canberra would be difficult on your parents.

    Academic Adviser

Oh I found the answer for the commerce academic adviser

    Academic Adviser

Hi, I am a transfer student and I have submitted the credit exemption form to the SIO. However, I feel like I need to talk to someone before I pick my subjects. Who can I talk to (law and commerce people) or is there a specific email? Thanks, have a stupendous day!

    No accommodation offers. Rex?

Do they put you there (in hotels) permanently for one semester or is it for a few days?
