    Hey, I just got my results back for mx1 and I am behind this person by under 0.1% overall. Would this be sent to the BOS as second or do they round it up if your within 0.1% of the next student?

    for what domain is x^2+4x, monotonically increasing. Now I know that there is a stationary point at x=-2, but for it to be monotonically increasing is the domain x>-2 or x>/=-2

    Re: HSC 2013 3U Marathon Thread I dont think this is right but ill have a shot anyway. So you find a and b through sum and product of roots then add the square of both them which should get you a^2+b^2=4c^2+4d^2+8cd+4c^2d^2-12cd+9 (c and d are the roots of the equation) Now for a and b to me...

    You can still get an answer with -14, just make the denominator (x+3-(23)^.5)(x+3+(23)^.5), then use partial fractions and you should get a log
