For the force on AB...what was the direction of the force...the direction of the motion of the coil had an arrow in both directions so I was a bit put off..and just took one. Also can't remember force on AB just BIL from memory.

Wait...so was it MRI or CAT? I put MRI...but a number of people had CAT (dem scans look too similar). Anyway, I can't remember what I wrote but I'm expecting 2/3 for that question.

From what my teacher says (he's a senior marker) they tend to prefer concise answers. I doubt they "mark" concise-ness. (Don't know how you would go about it). If its logical and coherent and doesn't bore the marker to death it should be fine. This...except for the finished bit :(

Seemed to me to be a toss up between B and C. Looking back at it now it's most likely B as it isn't always constant thrust...I'm a little curious about this one too.

Personally I dont think there will be much difference. Maybe +5 marks. Imo 2010 paper wasn't as difficult as everyone seems to make out :S.

I did something dodgy mid calculation...got some huge retarded number. Hopefully my method resembled something like that so I get at least 1-2 marks for it :S.

From memory B, because when you pair a couple of equations together Ek was inversely proportional to lambda...I'll put some working out.. E = hf \newline c = f \lambda \newline E = \frac{hc}{ \lambda } \newline E_k = E - W \newline E_k = \frac{hc}{ \lambda } - W hyperbola (inversely proportional)

I got A as well. Once the pendulum is in the magnetic field there is no change in flux, so the induced (whatever it was) must be zero?

Did fairly well in it I imagine...a few of my answers...I don't think I elaborated as much as I should and towards the end my 6 marker was lacking and I couldn't be effed fixing it up. Im guessing I will probably get 20's/25...hopefully closer to 25 rather than 20.
