    TSP

hmm alright. Thanks for the info! Now I'm seriously considering going to UNSW... :/

    TSP

I got an ATAR of 98.65 and a state rank in MX1. Any chance of getting into the TSP? Also, when do you actually find out if you got in?

    2012 School Rankings

    lolgirra.

    Mathematics Notes Survey.

Something as minimalist as possible. No examples, no questions, no diagrams - If I want any of that I can go to a textbook. Most people probably want the exact opposite though.

    General Thoughts: Legal Studies

The family b) question was BS.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Tits. By under debate, you mean everyone thinks it's B except me, right?

    Multiple Choice

Regarding q19, ratified is totally wrong. I got 17/20 though - moderately happy I guess.

    Rate the difficulty

..wut. I did the 2006-2011 past papers and I thought 2010 was the easiest.

What happens if you're sick on the day of a HSC exam but still sit the exam?

Question: I have legal and phys tomorrow and might need to put in illness/misadventure again. I know that I need a doctors cert for the day of the exam, but I've got exams from 9am till 5pm, so there's not really any way to get one. wut do.

    HSC crime Question

The rubric generally says something like "uses evidence from a wide range of sources", so basically, yes.

Anyone else losing the drive/tenacity as their exams are almost over?

    >implying I had any drive/tenacity in the first place.

    Level of detail.

They really shouldn't teach us advanced stuff like that without proper explanation IMO. It just leads to everyone going "but how/why does that even work?" and the teacher floundering because they themselves have no idea either.

    Level of detail.

Just while we're talking about it, I love how BCS theory is actually wrong but we're taught it anyway.

    Level of detail.

So for Meissner you would just go B field creates perpetual current in superconductor which has its own B field that repels the field of the magnet? Would you go into field expulsion too? The syllabus is so vague :(
  16. Nooblet94

    Level of detail.

How much detail do we need to go into for the Meissner Effect? Do we need to know about vortex pinning and whatnot, or is it sufficient to simply say that there's an induced magnetic field that opposes the field of the magnet causing it to float? Same sort of question for superconductivity in...

    Physics marathon (hsc)

The force due to gravity doesn't change simply because you've shrunk the earth. It's proportional to the distance from the centre of mass, which wouldn't change since you said it maintains its shape. To do it properly you'd need to take into account that acceleration is proportional to the...

    Physics marathon (hsc)

Nope. It's beyond the scope of the course though. You need 4u maffs to do it.

    Physics marathon (hsc)

Define size. Will its volume become a quarter of its original value? Its radius?
