Who is confident for engineering studies??

Hey, just wondering who is keen for engineering studies? What kinda trial marks did people get? How much Study have you been doing for it? How are you dealing with the fact it's the day after english?

    Drop to standard english??

Please don't drop to standard I can not stress how big of a mistake this would be if you did it. JUST DON'T DO IT. Standard and advanced are assessed on the same scale so the stuff about it being better getting so and so in standard as opposed to so and so in advanced is BULLSHIT. DON'T DROP TO...

Do we really care about english?

I take the, "focus on my other 4 subjects(2hrs per subject per day lol) and don't do english at all" approach... I want band 6's in modern, physics and engineering, with a high band 5 in 2 unit maths... I'll just scrape a 75 HSC mark in english haahha... I see it this way: I want to succeed in...

    Time For Some Hardcore Study

Well, I would say focus on your weaker subjects, don't neglect your strong ones but devote a larger proportion of your time to those where you have more room to improve.

    Time For Some Hardcore Study

11 hrs is okay if you are super motivated.. but if you find your forcing yourself to stay at the desk or wateva I'd take it a bit easier, because unless you've got a crazy amount of determination you wont last the rest of stuvac

    Time For Some Hardcore Study

i think at this stage you've just gotta put your head down and do it... nothing more to be said really

Um in engineering and physics I am sweet but modern history needs a bit of work, maths is coming along well with just past papers and english is well, going shit... but I have accepted that I will just have to make up for my shit english result with my other subjects :P What about you?

    Applying on UAC

We were told by our careers advisor that the site tend to get overloaded this close to the submission date... that's why I did it a month ago... best bet is probably doing it early in the morning when it opens each day (7am I think) as UAC takes no responsibility for the website not working

    UTS(good or bad)

I want to do civil engineering, I'm thinking UTS. I come from the country so travel isn't an issue as I'm going to have to move regardless. I'm just interested in what the student life is like at UTS, a lot of people say it doesn't have that "atmosphere" that UNSW and USYD do? What do you guys...
