I hope we get new stainless steel name badges too, that would fit nicely with the 2010 look. The current badges look boring now...only coz I've seen them too often

Really? Can staff do random shift at ANY store without needing CSM's permission? I'm casual atm...if that matters

i agree. its not your fault if a customer is short of change. having said that if it had have been <10c I wouldn't worry too much about it. Does anyone know if there is a set amount that a register is out by before the cashier gets notified?

To brookie94: Fresh Food beats Greasy Burgers every time. I worked at Maccas for a month when I was 16. It actually turned me off eating the food (if you can even call it that). Since I was new, I always got the shitty jobs and I wasn't good at any of them. Customers and other staff treated...

you can buy phone credit from every register...what about being able to write stuff off from the registers instead of manually writing it. would save soo much time!

Thanks for the heads up. It probably was emphasised on the training DVD - the one I haven't seen. I am a casual operator and only replace SCO shifts...so basically most of what I know I've taught myself. When I go PPT and pick up regular shifts in the next few weeks, I will ask for formal...

LOL. I assumed that anyone 18+ could serve smokes. No? Really? I used S/S last week and I was able to void transactions, refund and use Qty functions...and I'm not even a supervisor! Has the new software changed this?

LOL Guess I'm not the only one who had a rough day... Got in at 6am to do open on self serve but had to help cash office girl recount after there was $60 missing - which we later found half and hour later. We were really rushing to get things done my 7am - floats, change orders and everything...

Must be a store-to-store thing. I'm doing 11 hours tomorrow on front end, and another 25 hours over the next 5 days after that. YAY! Public holiday rates on Tuesday (in Vic)

seems like service calls differ from store to store. don't suppose it really matters, but management could make it consistent to clear up the ambiguity. i do like the shirts worn by the petrol attendants. just the 'woolworths' logo with out the green mark.

It's much the same at my store as above, except Service 50 is 'First Aid' - we don't seem to have a call for pickups. Oh and Service 200 is 'Product Withdrawal'

haha...thats hilarious! can only imagine what customers would be thinking. we used to get customers swearing over the PA late at night before our refurb, one guy even started singing! Last night we had some guy have a seizure at the end of an isle where I was serving on express - was quite...

I'm still waiting for my transfer to come through...apparently my application got lost in the mail. Been like 3 weeks. So mad right now. To top it off, I was offered to be trained for backup supervision today at my current store...Arrgh!

Really? That's funny...(in Victoria) we're supposed to save the docket and take the customer to the service desk, which is on the other side of the building from the express lanes. Very irritating!! On another note, I can't imagine life without WOWPOS...fortunately, I started after it...
