    Study trials or not?

I love it when people who have the first reply quote the original post... I mean, I wonder what they could possibly be referring to? If you've worked through all the HSC Papers i'd say stop there, you shouldn't do trials because frankly I think the teachers who write the trials are alittle bit...

Excel Text for Software Design and Development any Good?

The Excel book is awesome, it's brief yet detailed enough that you can pretty much read the whole thing in about 2-3 hours, rock up to school the next day and not have to pay attention ever again. Atleast thats what I did. You might want to pay attention when you hit the Software's Developer's...

    2007 help

Yup, when it says "evaluate the following 8bit two's complement expression" both binary numbers are already in their two's complement form. You can do: 1111 1101 x 0000 1111, and you would get the same answer, the only reason you'd convert the first number into it's positive form is because it...

    2007 help

Haha, I just updated my post to reflect the rest of the questions. I'll admit Crammy, you're making me work, I haven't even touched SDD to study yet, haha. Yea I liked that year for SW Developers View, haha, except a) iii). I fucking hate it when they ask us to explain how fractions are...

    Help

Hahaha, yea, now I see the problem. That's weird, Sam Davis knows too much, makes shit complicated :P I've never heard about the different types of distributed databases, basically only the 'Replicated DB' from my textbook so *shrug*. Oh well, it's just a multiple choice question aye, only...

    2007 help

I'll just do q21. cause I was about to go to sleep, and i'll edit this in the morning/afternoon: Q21) c) i) The error occurs when the FOR loop assigns the value "12" to Counter, the algorithm will then print "13 x 6" = "82", this is not intended in the design specifications of the program. It...

    Help

We do the exact same subjects Ondroo [except I do 3-unit math, shame on you], high five buddy. I would've said C in that multiple choice to be honest, but maybe this is because I learned a different definition of distributed database to you, Macquire IPT Revision guide says this: "A...

Anyone else not started studying for this?

I haven't started studying because IPT is so damn easy it makes me laugh. Infact... yup... here it comes, hahahahahaha, IPT Studying.

    Transformation: RAGAD and Hamlet!

I thought this Module question was so fucking terrible, I also like someone else in the thread had my essay thought out for: social order, fate/destiny, death. I managed to incorporate all into it, Social order - discussed individuality and how Elizabethan's were focussed as a group rather...

    Gwen Harwood

Well, I walk in with a 'no one did this combo before' with 'Alter Ego' and 'At Mornington' I thought memorable ideas = universal concept and themes, such as life, the balance between life and death, love, memories, etc.

Do you use prepared English essays?

This is also true, if your essay has decent analysis but it doesn't fit the question particularly well, you can still walk out with a low Band 5 because your analysis is still rock solid.

Do you use prepared English essays?

Haha, I memorise all my essays word-for-word. The trick is to end each paragraph with a technique and then right after a sentence ABOUT to explain that technique. It doesn't matter what the question is after that, you just slot it in saying that the "technique proves <question>" and you're off...

    Q26 - Distribution strategies

Re: Petition about Question 26 I disagree, there was nothing particularly difficult about Question 26. E-Commerce is a major part of today's business society, and was in the textbook I was given, pretty simple considering the verb "OUTLINE" which means "Not a whole lot of detail necessary"...

A single sentence to tell wat ur creative will be about?...

:O No way, get out of here. My story -A night at the graveyard, walking among the dead, trying to decipher each tombstones past.

    2008 Hsc - Sdd

So wait, can we rock up with a piece of paper that has the flowchart symbols on it? o.O

    Pseudocode/Flowchart syntax

Personally I love using FOR loops, they reduce the need to remember (i = i +1) :P You'll always get the option to do either a flowchart or pseudocode, so I wouldn't stress about it (this is my way of saying I forget flowcharts as well :P) "END WHILE" and "END IF" are two separate words.

i need to memorise a dictionary

This reminds me of my school's English Trial, in one of the headlines it had the word "Impartial" in it, and you were asked to reference the headline. More than 60% of our English Advanced [out of some 115] year didn't know :D

    Memorisation

As long as you know that you control your financial records AFTER you implement them and not before, really you know all there is to know. The only time I've seen it come up is in the 2007 Multiple Choice, if you can do question 6 of the multiple choice then you're set.

Which financial ratios are better to be high and low?

edit: I just realised I said the exact same thing as you, nevermind. Although it would be wise to note you flipped the ratios, instead of debt:equity in your 3:2, example, you have it as equity:debt. wait... do you? Or am I reading that wrong?
