Is it uncommon for domestic students to live on campus?

Good luck!!! LOL just get your HSC out of the way before you sort out the other stuff. You are going to have so much fun living on campus :D

Is it uncommon for domestic students to live on campus?

Fair enough, that's a pretty good choice. I've heard other students say that the food isn't that fantastic and they do pay a lot more. For internet - once you're a student you can get free wi-fi on campus but I'm not sure if you can access this at the apartments. Couldn't find a deadline, but...

People who have been accepted into combined law internally or those know some stuff

Re: People who have been accepted into combined law internally or those know some stu It depends on supply and demand, just like the ATAR system - if there is an increase in the number of applicants or a reduction in the number of places will lead to a increase in the entry requirements...

Minimum credit point minimum not divisible by 3?

No worries, when you get academic advice, they also help you do the calculations etc.

Is it uncommon for domestic students to live on campus?

No heaps of domestic students move onto or near campus for convenience and quite frankly, because you can get drunk have more fun :) and... UBar. Judging from this thread, you're looking at Mac? If so, you can choose any of the colleges, or the apartments/village offered by Mac, or any of the...

How long does it take you to get to uni?

Ultimately, you should ask yourself what time you are willing to use to travel to uni? Some people wouldn't bother to travel more than 15 minutes, others travel for 2 hours.

Minimum credit point minimum not divisible by 3?

The general load for students doing full time is 4 units per semester so = 4 x 3 = 12. So, in one year you do 24 CP. And over three years = 72 CP.

How long does it take you to get to uni?

Same thing happened to me, surprisingly, after a while you'll get used to it and use the commuting time to do your readings/lectures etc. Also try to plan your timetable to justify the travel - e.g. don't go into uni for just one class if it takes you a total of 3 hours to get to there and home...

Would You Recommend Commerce at MAQ?

I deliberately picked Macquarie, despite a two hour commute - will this count as "out of their way"?

Would You Recommend Commerce at MAQ?

I'm a B Comm student and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mac to any student wanting to do a degree in business/commerce/economics etc. Q1. What are the lecturers and tutes like? - There will be variation, some you will really like, others not so much. In general, the classes and structure of...

GPA for Internal Law Transfer @ MAQ

Just wanted to clarify that the GPA is a number out of a total of 4 at Macquarie. So if someone says "3.0" it means "3.0 out of a maximum total of 4.00". If you're doing your HSC this year - good luck :)

another random: are you allowed to thread

Don't think you are the only one who had thought of using the memory function. It depends on whether you are willing to take the risk, they have randomly checked calculators in the past and don't assume that they didn't realise that the calculators have a memory function.

transfer second year into Law from law at another uni

Technically, the Macquarie Law School belongs to the Faculty of Arts - so yes this thread should be moved. It is probably best to contact Macquarie Law School directly to see if they can help with you enquiry: http://www.law.mq.edu.au/contact_us/ This topic has been discussed in several...

    Q: University degrees

It depends on your degree and the industry. The usual rules of supply and demand, there are some industries which hire more graduates than others. The other question is whether you'll get the job that you want with your degree.

    :D HAHAHAHA nice.

What is the max number of units you can do per semester? And what is the effect?

It's doable, but yes, it does drive you crazy because everything you read about ends up being about law :( They should really consider restructuing the combined law programs so that the law and non-law units are spread evenly. You might think those arts units are boring now, but when you have...

A good part time job for a commerce student???

Depends on what subject you are currently doing, hard to suggest a job without knowing your major or what career path you are intending to pursue.

True true - didn't think of the research aspect. Thanks for that Azure!
