    yeah sorry my bad, i made a bit of a mess on that question

    Parameters

    x = \frac{2at}{t^2+1} x= \frac{2ax/y}{(x^2/y^2)+ 1} \frac{x^2}{y^2}+1 = \frac{2a}{y} x^2 + y^2 = 2ay hence Q is a circle with centre (0,0) and radius (2ay)^1/2 hope that's right...

    Parameters

    part (ii) would be useful :p Also just to confirm for part (i) did you get Q as ( 2at/(t^2 +1), 2at^2/(t^2+1)) ?

    Inverse Functions -_-

    This Q comes from the 1996 HSC paper Consider the function f(x) = 1/4 [(x-1)^2 + 7] Rigmarole: (i)sketch the parabola (ii) what is the largest domain containing x = 3 that has an inverse function? (iii)sketch y = f^-1(x) Now here's what i dont understand: (iv) Let a be a real number...

    Abyssmal at Circle Geometry *HELP*

    I lolled um anyway... you just got to get used to the questions they give you. They're only of couple of situations. 1. One circle, no tangents drawn, no centre - these will usually be related to angles subtended by the same arc - cyclyic quadrilaterals - external angle of the triangle is =...

    Balmer-Rydberg Equation Questions

    Okay that clears a) up but with b) how did you know that the energy values were from the 2nd to the the 1st shell and 3rd to 1st shell? Also with the jacaranda maybe the circumference is the wavelength? Since a period is one revolution and the distance for one revolution is the circumference...

    Balmer-Rydberg Equation Questions

    I've been revising quanta to quarks for my trials, problem is our teacher never taught it to us -_-. So forgive me if my questions are stupid. First question comes from jacaranda q3 on p435 The radius of the orbit of an electron in the ground state of the hydrogen atom is 5.3 x 10^-11m...

    Trial Questions

    Hey guys, Im having trouble with these 2 problems from my school's past paper (no solutions "-_- ) 1. Differentiate y= ln(tan3x) epressing your final answer in terms of cosec3x. I can do the differentiation part but i end up with 3/(cos3xsin3x) = 6/sin6x ? 2. the polynomial P(x) is given by...

    My laptop deal

    To my knowledge LED screens are brighter and the colours are more vivid and have a higher contrast. Also IMO laptops with decent specs arent worth it if you wanna move around buy a cheap ass crappy laptop you're better off with a desktop

    Inverse Trig Question.

    Not sure if this is is right but here goes: tan^-1 (1/4) + tan^-1 (3/5) = pi/4 if this is true then tan(tan^-1 (1/4) + tan^-1 (3/5)) = tan pi/4 is true RHS = (1/4 + 3/5)/(1 - 1/4 x 3/5) = (17/20)/(17/20) = 1 = tan pi/4 = LHS

    Integrating Sin^2xCos^2x

    Isnt the intergral of (1-cos4x) = x-sin4x/4? And therefore wouldnt the answer be 1/8(x - sin4x/4) + C Do correct me if im wrong

    Mathematical Induction T_T

    thanks for the reply but i'm still having trouble understanding for this step where does the 2k come from? (k+1+1)(k+1+2)...2k(2(k+1)-1)(2k+1))

    Mathematical Induction T_T

    I found this question in one of my school's past papers and I've got absolutely no idea: Prove By Mathematical Induction: (n+1)(n+2) ... (2n-1)2n = 2^n x (1 x 3 x ... x (2n-1)) for n >= 9 any ideas?
