I liked it better than the other (3?) - mostly because it was a lot faster paced, and skipped a lot of the rubbish at the beginning/end that the books have. Also, the music WASN'T by john williamson which was a definite + in my books.. he tends to overdo the drama.. yawn. Nice thematic...

Hmm.. the only thing I can think of is turning off the quicklaunch bar since it may have 'maximised' to the length of the taskbar. If that doesn't work, search through the taskbar rightclick menu - sometimes there's an option to deselect what kind of items you want to show up on the taskbar...

Does your router list the machines connected to it? Could be that it's the router blocking visibility.. although I've never had an experience like that before. and hyper, I chose my nick because it's short, starts with 'a' (so I'm at the top of IRC chan lists :D) and gender-inspecific... :p

When that happens I share a particular folder on that computer and see if the other machines can access it. Or share a network resource and check if it's visible. But other than that I don't know, I'm a self-professed mucker-arounder with networks :D

It won't run very smoothly even on the lowest graphics settings, particularly in crowded areas. 56K is okay but you have to get used to the delay, which can be frustrating.
