    Cadetship 2015

Quick Update: PwC is offering traineeships this year, it's just being done through a different platform, not their website.

    Cadetship 2015

    On point.

    Applications have closed for UBS

    Cadetship 2015

Yeeee, UBS is the only one I know that has double degree cadets, all the accounting ones I know of do single degrees.

    Cadetship 2015

http://www.professionalcadets.com.au/bc_profiles_2012.asp One of the peeps there does Actuary and Commerce, last year when I had a look there was a guy doing Law/Comm.

    Cadetship 2015

There are people at UBS who are doing the cadetship and studying Law/Comm. I never got a single mark back from all the exams I did...

    Cadetship 2015

I only did like one practice test and then just started doing the ones for the applications, it wasn't that different tbh, the practice test just didn't have as many questions or cover as much. They're pretty good though, I'd definitely suggest doing more than one if you really care about the...

    Cadetship 2015

Accounting ones had the SHL Tests as well, some had online interviews before the in person interviews, the application process stays pretty similar across them all.

    Cadetship 2015

They definitely offer part time, I can confirm that, and if you're doing a cadetship they have someone who's there to help you manage your timetable around work and what not just in case you have any issues. There's definitely a lot to take away from the application process, it'll make your...

    Cadetship 2015

I know jack all about IB, didn't even apply for UBS, but I applied for the accounting ones, studying Commerce @ USyd atm, I start work with the cadetship next year.

    They'll never know :P I did, I don't remember being told not too... ?

    Cadetship 2015

Don't think of it that simply though, It might just be that it isn't your day when you do the test. There were ones I completely dun goofed and struggled to finish and others which I just found really easy. Hopefully yours isn't anything cryptic :P

    Cadetship 2015

It isn't really much you can study for, I did a few practice tests just so I know what to expect, and then just dived in and "believed"... :P

    Cadetship 2015

Time management is crucial, don't sink too much time into one question and then end up not being able to finish the whole test. Don't do the test on like two hours of sleep :P generally you'd want to be feeling fresh and on top of things. Don't freak out! :P

    Cadetship 2015

I chucked in an Interests & Sports section which was pretty much hobbies and random programming skills or what not, whether or not I should have I'm not too sure. I feel as if it shows you have other passions/interests outside of the daily routine, can't hurt if you have the room. (I might be...

    Cadetship 2015

    1. It doesn't hurt to have a Skills section with the minor skills you might have developed through hobbies, whether it be IT related or otherwise. 2. If I recall correctly the standard length is no more than two pages so you'll be fine if you surpass the one page length. 3. End of the day...

    Cadetship 2015

*bump* lets get someone who's done the job answer that :P

    Cadetship 2015

If you have the room to put them down and you can work it into your responses and the type of person you are, then why not, if its unique and defines your character it'll be a good thing, but ideally you can show that all EC's provide you with at least ONE skill relevant to the job (might take...

    Cadetship 2015

They look for a balance of both academics and extracurricular/character stuff. I don't know if any standards exist, my marks were mediocre, one was pree shoddy but I worked it to my advantage when I was asked about it. Also I've been told that smaller firms care more about marks because they...

    Cadetship 2015

Only way you'll find out if you're the person they're looking for is by applying. You have nothing to lose from applying and everything to gain. Even if you don't make it, the application process itself is a great learning process. In terms of EC's I'd assume a jack of all trades, leadership in...
