    CSSA Economics

I only had time for two, although I think I briefly mentioned the third.. I should have done this essay first, as I knew most about it. But should still get 16-17 for it :\

Legal studies trial independent paper thoughts

Once again, I hope I get that one. Ahh, effectiveness is potentially the easiest to do.

    What now?

Well like everyone you'll have occasional social gatherings.. But one odd night won't harm your study routine (eg. a best mate's 18th). Well at least not as break after trials. We're in a routine of study - keep it up guys!

Legal studies trial independent paper thoughts

Hmm hopefully all options take that approach - very basic, with the ease of tying in the contemporary issues.

    What now?

I'll spend first week going over trials, seeing where I need to improve (i.e. EVERYWHERE!!). Then I'll go over summaries, revise/add to them for 2 weeks. And then just rework essays and practice past papers from then on in. 68d 14h!

    CSSA Economics

Monetary policy is easiest, IMO. I think I spent too much time on the actual process of it, and didn't include enough data/statistics. Got the general cash rate figures in (both pre and post GFC).

Legal studies trial independent paper thoughts

I have the CSSA trial tomorrow :\ mind me asking what your essays (both the short crime + 2 options) were on? The changed syllabus leaves it pretty open, with the specimen paper offering little guidance besides structure.

    CSSA Economics

Don't forget the diagrams too, I used two in each essay.

    Independent vs. CSSA

So generally: The CSSA is simpler and broader, and mirrors the HSC exam more, whereas the Independent tends to have specifics which require more detail than what would be required in the HSC?

    Best Trial exam so far?

Biology was essentially a dot point exam. If you knew your dot points and nothing more, guaranteed 85+

    Type or Write?

Personally, I prefer to type and then print and highlight. That's just preference. As for essays, I'll do a draft on the computer, but always write it out to make sure I can write it in the required time (as in my creative writing for example, I can write more in 40 minutes than an essay)

Bonus points, Do you need a certain atar for them to be added?

Pretty sure UWS offers these bonus points, up to ten actually. But let's face it - if you don't make the UWS cut off, uni isn't for you :)

    Independent vs. CSSA

Which one do you guys think is best in terms of preparing students for the HSC/being an accurate representation of the real test? I know this differs per subject, and people's perception on each is different - just curious on what the general view is :)

    Cssa legal studies trial exams

All you can really do is make a very general essay on each of your options. MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE CONTEMPORARY ISSUES!! The essay for crime is a "600 word essay", though realistically if you want the marks, this is more an 800+ word essay. So essentially, crime + HR if you just know your dot...

Why'd you go and do that for!? Seems a tad drastic! Haha. What'd you guys choose for your section 4 question?
