    Help

Took a look in the textbook. "A student makes a model motor. She makes a rectangular coil with 25 turns" If you use the full answer, 0.039375, multiply by 25 (as the length is 25 as long - 25 turns), then you will get your 0.98 :)

    Help

F = Field Strength x Current x Length of Conductor x Angle (perpendicular here, so equal to 1) F = 1.75 x 0.45 x 0.05 = 0.039375 = 0.04N Using the right hand push rule... Fingers point to the right, thumb points out of the page, so the palm points upwards. 0.04N upward.

Handy Hints for the School Certificate

My sharpest advice would be... Study for Geography and History, and science. Forget maths and english. The maths and english SC exams are woeful - they test nothing but your natural ability / comprehensive skills. Grab a copy of the syllabus, go summarise a textbook, go paraphrase your...

    How many hours of study...??

Yeah, it was said above. I prefer to just set lists of things to do, and I get it done whether it takes 1 hour or 5 hours :\

Area of Study (Identity) Related texts

Hey There, Me and a few other friends are currently looking for texts in relation to Identity (our area of study). It can't be poetry (as they are our core texts), but if anyone has any handy ideas feel free to share :)

    Is it possible...??

If you're scaled marks are even above 90 in your HSC then expect a very high atar :P
  8. C

    Is it possible...??

High scoring subjects would result in a high atar I would naturally think. As in, if you score 100% in everything (which isn't realistic) you would get virtually the top atar (99.95) Is that what you mean?

am i the only one who has no motivation?

I personally find that what is harder than summing up the energy and motivation to do school work, is to actually figure out what to do. It's very vague (my experience with prelim) - just "go do some work" E.G. I have a maths assessment in 13 days, so I went to my (2) textbooks and I put...

    How many hours of study...??

Right! Now I see, good point, the HSC subject would have the focus. It really is hard to justify giving a damn during a competency based course :\

    How many hours of study...??

Term 3 is your last term to build study habits, and be able to try them out and fail. Sometimes things won't work, so it's best to do some trial and error now-rather-than later during the HSC where a few marks in this assessment can cost your atar (once they accumulate)

    Faq:

It has its perks, for example: I have music lessons every tuesday during period 1 - therefore if we had a static timetable I wouldn't consistently miss the same subject, whereas as our school I would only miss about an hour of a subject per term, rather than 5 hours (or 2 lots of 2.5 hours) of...

    Faq:

Our school doesn't have alternating weeks. We actually run a 6 day system, Day 1... 2 ......6 And basically, Thursday is always day 6 (sports day) and the rest of the time they rotate through 1 to 5.. Example Week 1 Mon: Day 1 Tue: Day 2 Wed: Day 3 Thu: Day 6 Fri: Day 4 Week 2 Mon: Day 5...

    How many hours of study...??

I'd half agree. If you can treat prelim like the ultimate learning curve and not the marks then you're pretty damn on track. Example: We have a chemistry assessment, a lot of kids go hastling past-students (as they sat the same one) and get all the insight and hints, whereas I'd rather...

    How many hours of study...??

I know 3 hours a day is recommended on school nights, maybe 5 on weekends? I personally don't "sit down and work". I sit at my big desk, eating food, maybe watching youtube, talking on msn/facebook as i do my work. This means I get 3 hours of schoolwork done over maybe 5 hours. So basically I...
