    Multiple Choice Answers

Exactly my reason for that question. The court case is still considered as a legal recognition. Armenikum you said: "Mabo: "The High Court ruling FOUND a native title to land existed"" <--- but if the court 'found' a native title to land exist, is not that the same as a 'recognition' but...

    So, who's finished?

Congratuations fellas, especially those who have been totally haunted by the HSC physically, psychologically, mentally, and socially! We're free...not for long lol. Chill out. Relax.

    Options: Communication

And to evaluate the brain exp. I talked about comparing the experiement with the use of coloured brain models that can be taken apart to clearly observe the specific regions of the brain etc - compare the relevance of the exp. And that the use of computer generated 3d visual images of the brain...

    Options: Communication

Mmmm, I specifically stated "the main structures involved are larynx, ear and brain (specific regions of it)", yet I forgot to talk about the larynx. Do you think the examiners will consider the pressure during the exam and will be generous with me?

    Exam Thoughts

Yeah I put down deep sea fish can detect colour in the range of 450nm-500nm (blue light) for bioluminescence, but I forgot what the purpose of it was for lol, so I just said navigation

What is the Band 6 cut-off

Yeah I'm thinking about 96+/120 equates to a band 6. No one can certainly know though unless you're a BOS person. Apparently the 2004 HSC was 94+/120 to equate to a band 6. But I dunno if each year is the same, BUT I did hear that the standard of each HSC maths exam is quite similar so the...

    Multiple Choice

An enzyme does not get used or nor change its structure when catalysing a reaction. Hence C is the substance of an enzyme. C is the product formed when 2 substrate parts join together due to the catalysed reaction. D is the substrate which is its 2 forms.

    Exam Thoughts

Eesh, I thought the exam was challenging than normal, in comparison to previous years... I reckon the CSSA 2007 trial reflected this exam pretty closely in some areas. It's so frustrating when you realise that you got a question incorrect because you can't do anything about it now...

    Multiple Choice

    Yeah that's exactly what I had. Except I stupidly chose 0% for Q.11. Q.14 is C.

    General Thoughts - Mathematics

Don't worry dude, it's october 2010, I tested 2 close values, and it's no way november. It's october :) Yeah I thought, in my opinion, it was an overall good exam. Can't say what I will get as a final mark, but areas in Q.9 and 10 screwed me up. I got so confused between birthdays and actual...

    Role of Chemist

haha burhan, he's going to be a star like you said hahahhaha that's the funniest thing i've heard all week. Yeah I think you had to specify a name, I wrote Robert Evans, though the chemical principles used knocked me off a little. Would these be considered as chemical principles:? -...

    Radioisotope

iodine 131! that's the one I referred to but forgot the actual name. Yeah I used Tc-99m for body disorder diagnosis, Co-60 for sterilisation - was going to talk about metal defects but had no space, and iodine radioisotopes for thyroid gland stuff and that its beta rays can accumulate in one...

Molar heat of combustion vs. Molecular weight.

Mmmmm! I forgot that the Molecular weights can never be zero.

    Answers To Difficult Questions

Yeah, I think?. Kmahal1990, from my knowledge, a catalyst is a thing that affects both the reactant and product side. From what I saw in the Cl/O3 reactions was that the activation energy was not reduced (the equations didn't show that) and the reaction rate on both sides of the equation was...

Molar heat of combustion vs. Molecular weight.

I honestly see no reason for using a line of best fit. It is an essential scientific skill, but I don't think the skill is always appropriate in this context? I don't see the use of a line of best fit when comparing alkanes, alkanols and alkanoic acids in relation to their molecular masses...
