    Mathematical Induction question help?

CONCLUSION: (Depends on what you have been taught) My conclusion would be: As true for n = k, therefore true for n = k+1. As true for n = 1, the statement must therefore be true for n≥1.

    Help! MATHS CONFUSION

If you end up dropping 4U math to 3U then your 2U Mark will come into consideration for your ATAR. Unless you bomb out of 4U (which I think is highly unlikely) your scaled 4U mark will still be higher than your 2U mark, making it more economical to take into consideration for the 10 best units...

    2o13 Q10

I first solved the equation, which got me -2≤x≤3. As this solution indicates equality at x = -2 and x = 3, this automatically eliminates (A) and (B) because they are undefined at one of/both of these points. A quick sketch or subbing in a value -2≤x≤3 for (D) will indicate that it is also...

    Predictions for MATHEMATICs HSC 2014

Are you suggesting there is something more evil than Carrotsticks? Is that even possible?

To all my 2015 HSC BoSers

    1. Definitely a holiday. Maybe a cruise or skiing in Japan. Something interesting that can wash away the pains of HSC. 2. Actuarial Studies at UNSW/USYD 3. To be honest it is quite daunting, but I think as long as I start Year 12 strongly and carry it through, I can survive better than others...

2014 Advanced BOS Trial Exam Discussion Thead

Therefore by letting n = 2011, we deduce that 2011x2012x2013x2014+1 must be a perfect square. A little bit crude - what were you looking for Carrotsticks?

How do you eat your Oreos?

I might be necrobumping a bit here Carrots - but to be completely honest, when I'm hungry, I don't really care.

What subject are you dropping? Also any advice?

Dropping Design and Technology. Why? Because... it's Design and Tech. Well to be honest it was a filler and the effort I would have to put in, in exchange for results doesn't seem quite worth it.

    English Tuition..Matrix?

Looks like the page has some very mixed opinions on the quality of Matrix. As a Matrix student I would recommend it for a variety of reasons (and not for any source of promotion). As you are undertaking the HSC next year, Matrix has very quality English teachers and tutors for the seniors years...

Anyone going to the new Matrix in Epping?

Hi, I would highly recommend Matrix at Epping. I've been a Matrix student for the last 4 or so years, and I would recommend it to anyone who is keen to get into their learning. It really depends on what subjects you are interested in undertaking and what your days you would free. Teachers...

How does tied ranks work for the HSC?

Yes I agree that this is how the system works. I worked out a few of my classmates marks using this exact formula and calculated the end of year relative placings using the assessments weighting, giving a score out of 100% at the end. Some subjects it was really close, but how much do teachers...

    Studying Optometry/Ophthalmology

Wow, I wrote this post almost a year ago...I have a much better understanding about the system now, but thanks so much for all your replies! Right now I'm dishing up between a combined degree doing Actuarial Studies with a Bachelor of Science, or sticking with MED? Thoughts?
