    American Politics

Bobby Jindall! I'm pretty sure he said he won't run though because he's got obligations as Gov'nr of Louisiana (I think). But I really hope he does run someday because he seems like a really genuine candidate. Also he is quite young so the party will probably want to groom him for later I guess...

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed

lol yes they left. But before they did they were winning, and when they left South Vietnam was still South Vietnam and it was another 3 years before South Vietnam was over run.

Desperately need help on subjects - should i drop chemistry for ancient history

I don't know whether that is amazing or sad :P I think you should go with what you like best. Which in this case seems to be Ancient. As someone pointed out, quite correctly, you said you aren't usually motivated and Ancient would probably keep you engaged for longer as you also said you're...

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

Which works for me I guess as I was saying those of an opposing political view to me are no less of an Australian than me.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

I did laugh lol. But I think the idea behind reading the Bible is to gauge an understanding of what shaped those laws, etc.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

I was referring to the liberal ideology (which is not necessarily you) not the centre-right party.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

lol. I did say I was being a dick now didn't I. Even gave you a troll alert >.> And no, liberals (or whatever you define yourself as) are no less Australian than me. Oh and I already apologised to wendybird, so congrats on being late AND bleeding heart. EDIT: And I apologised to Asians because...

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

I have to disagree. Why do revolutionary ideas (ie. communism) exist? Is that the next step in evolution? lol Anyway, massive sidetrack about government. I won't respond anymore unless it's back to the actual topic.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

But why do different cultures have different views on morals? If you honestly think society would uphold itself without government (for example of course) because of this 'evolutionary advantage' then you're sorely deluded. Anyway, like wendybird said this is pretty offtopic.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

Wut. So you can pass on morals and ethics through birth? lol. I'm pretty much as cynical and jaded as the come. Pretty much a prerequisite for being conservative, innit? So we aren't to correct anything? Science goes out the window then.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

So we are born with an intrinsic sense of right and wrong? And if we aren't, then it's obviously society that lays them upon us. Where has the majority (if not all) of societies morals come from? Oh, right, Australia is a majority Christian country >.>

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

lol I don't understand this. Are you scared you will be converted? I'm just saying, if it was introduced, it's just another part of the syllabus.

    Internet Explorer or Firefox?

Firefox. Find it to be a lot smoother and less buggy. As well it isn't too mushy like Vista which is imo detrimental to the purpose. Simple and gets the job done.
