Answer the question using the thesis you've developed in your essay. Avoid using broad generic statements. Be assertive, having a strong conclusion can really make a difference in your final essay mark.

You'd think so, but they're asking questions on research/impact, and getting us to demonstrate changing methods etc. Having a name that you can put down and what these historians have done is easier to remember and adds weight to your answer. Greek world 500-440 B.C

There are plenty of other role and contribution chaps, Themistocles, Miltiades, Eurybides, Pausanius, Leonidas. <--Could be a question on a couple of these? Themistocles in particular has a lot on him. There's the standard why did the Greeks win? question and all its variations/ sub reasons...

How you feel about HSC ?

It varies. I feel confident, and I know I'm ready, all the marks I'm getting reflect it, but I still get nervous twinges. To be expected I guess. This has been the longest three weeks of my life. I just want to get in there and do it, but another part kind of wants time to go on indefinitely.

    Conflicting perspectives

I have a feeling lots of people will be using wiki leaks, since that is a very obvious one. Whilst something doesn't need to be political, it makes it a lot easier to explain if it is. Most issues end up possessing political connotations anyway. Whatever your related text is, make sure it has...

WHAT does Module B require us to do

In translation, how all the various elements that make up the text i.e. form, language, characterisation etc(Techniques basically) create textual integrity. Because you have textual integrity, text holds meaning. Relate impact of context to the meaning that you derive :)

this enough historians to know for exam question 1?

I do still think it pays to go beyond two obviously, because it allows you to generate a much greater level of depth to your argument by demonstrating differences in historiography over time .

    Historiography Quotes

My favorite history quote (History) "really happened, and we really can, if we are very scrupulous and careful and self-critical ... reach some tenable though always less than final conclusions about what it all meant." R.J. Evans
