    Re: Deferred a year- want to switch from Engineering/law to international studies/law For UNSW law you can change streams at the end of the year without having to meet any WAM requirement. Doing international studies subjects lets you get them credited before officially changing degrees.

    Re: Deferred a year- want to switch from Engineering/law to international studies/law Its fine you can change to international studies / law. Just make sure to follow the aforementioned course outline and at the end of the year make sure to follow through with the IPT.

    Both the UNSW and USYD programs are combined law... If you want to do law separately go to UTS.

    Here's an example from Booz. Their campus recruiting is highly selective like that of the US - I recall hearing that some Monash graduates were prohibited from apply for certain positions. Goes to show how cut throat it is.

    Law and Commerce are highly discriminatory when it comes to the exclusive jobs. Economics not so much - do an honours year and work at RBA.

    Internship = 1st Year? Doesn't seem right. I thought it's normally reserved for penultimates.

    It really depends on the field. E.g. Medicine = doesn't matter conversely consulting = heavily discriminates

    I think crazy_paki123 is right in the sense that KPMG cadetships aren't open to 1st years. Isn't it structured differently like you have to work from FT from July to January and study PT during this period?
